Refused refund for rotten apples in ASDA!? how to demand your money back in store?

Hardly worth the hassle but the point is i didnt want another bag of bad apples. I believe im entitled to my money back under the consumer credit act 2015 as they certainly wernt satisfactory. However even after having my receipt with me and explaining my rights and after not having the same card i used to pay for them on me, the manager would not give a refund but i was given a credit gift card instead. How are you supposed to demand they give you your money back instead? Its annoying knowing that im entitled to it yet i have to just accept the gift card!?

would they have refunded if you had the same card you paid with on you.

Had you had the apples ages and they were just trying to get rid of you by offering you credit.

Sure you can find something to spend the credit on or are you never shopping in Asda again

It sounds like the retailer would have refunded the amount onto the original payment card which, as I understand it, is all they are obliged to offer under the Consumer Rights Act. So I don't think you can legally compel them to refund the amount in cash.

I think the consumer credit act actually prevents them refunding onto a different payment method than the card originally used.

Sounds like you've gone in spouting your rights quoting the wrong legislation.

Are you sure? This surely cant be as people lose cards and pay with different cards. A refund is what the act entitles you to regardless of what card you [aid on

Firstly, there is no such thing as The Consumer Credit Act 2015.

Did you perhaps mean The Consumer Credit Act 1974, or The Consumer Rights Act 2015?
