Everyone who originally took it out when it launched are still within the minimum term 18 month contract (Feb 2016 launch).
Sky have been pretty mean with deals for Q boxes up until this point but as those 18 months are counting down we should see more and more deals being offered.0 -

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. I assume if you choose to cancel Sky Q once the 18 months is up, you have to give the box back? Will it be worth their while discounting at that stage to avoid the admin work involved in getting boxes back?0 -

Agree - I've no plans to take up Sky Q to replace my Sky+ HD box for pretty much the reasons you outlined in the previous post.
I do wonder if and when the choice to replace will be made for me i.e. it's Sky Q or nothing.0 -

Going to be "interesting" this Summer as deals come to the end -particularly those who carried over Sky HD deal discounts onto SkyQ.
I suspect that many SkyQ adopters have not twigged the "no going back to HD" scenario.
As to the final replacement of HD by Q - I would think that they are going to have to sort out the SD situation first, still many people with old boxes,even non recording ones out in TV Land.:)0 -

It's cheaper for Sky to give you a returner discount with Sky+ than having to provide Q equipment.0 -

According to a recent tv news item, Sky are losing ground, as unlike in the past, when new and retained customers outnumbered leavers ,the opposite is now the case.
They need to realise that there are many customers and ex-customers, who don't want the expense of the bells and whistles of Q. They just want some extra channels that they can record or watch as catchup and don't desperately need to continue watching the programme they viewed in the living room, while in the loo or on their tablet while walking down the street (into a lamp post or unfortunate other pedestrian).0 -

Growth in customer numbers of 769,000 in the last quarter;
Here's a link to Sky's performance in the last quarter

Totally with you on this one! I despair of the number of people I see walking obliviously into oncoming traffic because they're so lost in the virtual world...0 -
Look in your My Sky account , under the 'left in the last 12 months' link, as that is where many of us were given a good offer (75% off plus £100 credit).
It's cheaper for Sky to give you a returner discount with Sky+ than having to provide Q equipment.
You must have been a better customer than me Teddysmum - have been using that link since I left about 6 weeks ago, never higher than 40%. LiveChat no higher than 60%.0
