Whiplash is a bit of a slippery diagnosis, and is used by many people for dodgy PI claims, but it is well-known that genuine whiplash injuries may not manifest themselves for several days after the incident. The fact that the OP wasn't carted off in an ambulance from the scene doesn't mean anything.
Also worth remembering that PTSD was known a century ago as 'shell shock', and was suffered by soldiers who had endured months of living in trenches being bombed daily. An accident which can bring about a medical diagnosis of PTSD must have been serious indeed. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Speak to a solicitor ASAP, avoid settling till you are sure symptoms are going / will never go.
I gather they pretty much have a rate chart for this.0 -
Hi there, Im not sure on how to start my own thread due to being new to this forum!?
Anyway, Id like to ask, I had an accident in a premises last year, and when I tried to make a claim against them for negligence, blame, etc. The claim firm Im using have informed me that the premises's insurance company wen into administration around the same time (same month) and I will probably not be able to claim anything??!
Surely it cant be this 'cut and dried'??!
Even though the shop now has a new insurance company representing their premises, the new company will not take responsibility for the previous firms 'claims'...where do I stand please?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!0
