I have seen the tins in H&B too.

I got a call late this afternoon to say my team is merging with 2 others and our projects are being combined. Not sure how I feel about it but wish they hadn't thought it was a good idea to tell us 2 days before we break up until 2018. My job is not at risk but I feel unsettled and as this won't happen until April no one can really answer our questions about it. Oh and I used to work with the new project lead and I'm not sure how I feel about that either.
The P&D finishes tomorrow. The bedroom is looking amazing and I cant wait until the feature wall paper to go up tomorrow. Can't wait until the house is straight again either.
A couple of bits added to the Mr T order to cover the DPIL coming to tea and added a couple of extras as I was £1.50 short of £100 and I have a £10 off £100 voucher.
I did buy some bits in Mr S today that I couldn't find on the Mr T site like GF mince pies and big bags of own brand hula hoops.
Tomorrow I will pay the change into the bank and withdraw enough to pay the P&D and for DS tea with his class and my night out tomorrow. All budgeted for on YNAB.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Poor DS has had to miss the last 2 days of school due to a tummy bug and impetigo
DH is off today and has already fitted the bargain spotlights we got for the bathroom and washed the ceiling (its that plastic stuff).
I forgot it was pay day today until asked by DH to look at the online banking. DH has been paid a bonus which was totally unexpected :T:j Although the first thing he said was lets split it and the second thing was lets buy something for the bedroom
The decorator has completed the work and our bedroom is looking stunning, I am over the moon with it.We have a roll of wallpaper to go back. We will have to pay for the p&P but it will be £70+ off the LL0yds card which is all on 0%.
My expenses, TT, TCB and the monthly payment totalling £294.37 have been paid off the target debt and if I can keep DH under controlI will be able to clear the rest from the bonus and the money saved from our Uber Frugal January can go towards the next target debt.
I have also reduced the Person 2 balance by £100
Plans for today are a really good tidy up and housework, put the house back the way it should be after the decorating and clean the carpet in DS bedroom.
I have a Mr T order coming late tonight but have almost ran out of milk so will need to pop to the local co-op for that. DH has eaten the pork pies I had hidden in the fridge for Christmas so will need to replace those but will check to see if anything is missing from my Mr T order before I go to the shop tomorrow.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Bought milk this afternoon but no pork pies to be had so will pop back to local co-op in the morning and if there isn't any it's tough. I'm not going to a big supermarket:eek: Mr T delivered everything I ordered.
DS carpet still needs cleaning but DH had told his friend he could borrow the cleaner so not sure if it will get done before Christmas now.
I managed to dissuade DH from buying a replacement mirror for the bathroom. It is damaged and is the only thing we need to do in there but we have other priorities.
It looks like my uber frugal Jan wont be as frugal as DH wants the same amount of personal spends but I will be able to cut back elsewhere.
I did some housework today and will finish it tomorrow morning and then it is feet up for a few days, well, except cooking Christmas lunch and tea.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Gosh you are organised! That list looks eminently do-able. We are off for early-morning swimming shortly, then off to Norfolk to collect the Turkey, with a pub lunch on the way back. Lovely to have a bonus and to have the bedroom completed to your satisfaction.
I wold just leave replacing the pork pies unless some walk into your direct path: think how many calories you'll save! :rotfl: (That's the way I look at it, anyway. IF DH wants some, tell him he's already had them).
Hope DS is feeling better and the Christmas tea goes okay. If they only stay a couple of hours then most of Christmas Day is yours to spend with DH and DS.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I hope you enjoyed your day Suffolk lass it sounded lovely
We have noticed some of the doors don't look finished Cherryfudge so DH is going to call the decorator after Christmas. It's a shame as he has done such a lovely job in the bedroom.

We thought the clocks were wrong in the car this morning when we came out of co-op and it was 10 to 9  Can't believe we were up and out so early! DH got his pork pies, I don't eat them, and asked for sprouts which nobody normally eats!
We then went to B&Q for some door handles but they have removed them all waiting for new lines so bought a light switch for DS room and went to Homebase. We managed to get 9 door handles and 6 luxury crackers reduced in the sale for £52One of the cracker gifts is measuring spoons and I could do with a new set
DH has fitted all the door handles and I have cleaned the kitchen and floors, tidied up and vacuumed. If the social services had looked through the kitchen window I might have been in trouble this afternoon as DS insisted on helping scrub the kitchen floor and there were the 2 of us with rubber gloves on scrubbing away :rotfl:
DS and I decorated some Christmas Jumper shaped gingerbread biscuits this afternoon.
DH is out tonight so I have wrapped the rest of DS presents and done a load of washing while quaffing a large glass of baileys. I am searching for inspiration for Elf on the Shelf's last night of mischief. It may involve socks, underpants and the Christmas tree:rotfl:
DH bought me a lovely GF Christmas cake today, handmade locally, which is too pretty to eat.
Tomorrow I will do the last bit of tidying and then we will be out most of the afternoon at our Christmas lunch event with friends. Hoping for a walk with the dog and a Christmas movie after that. May dye my hair too if I can find the motivation.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

We had a great time thanks, lovely lunch in Grundisburgh on the way back (we know it from some lovely local walks). Turkey is currently in the electric cold box, locked in the boot of my car until this time tomorrow.
Have a great Christmas - I dyed my hair last week when I thought I might leave it and it did make me feel better - I cleaned the bathroom while the colour developed so have a form of multi-tasking!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Now I have a mental image of B&Q staff all looking puzzled as they endeavour to find their way out of the store...

DS could not get to sleep last night until after 10pm and then woke up at 3am having wet the bed. I'm shattered. He hasn't done that for a long time but yesterday he was very excited for Christmas. This is the first year he has been so excited (he's 7). I will wash and dry his bedding today as this is his only set now he is in a double bed. I only put it on last night
I only have 2 items left on my to do list:
Dye my hair
Hide the laundry
But will add:
Tidy living room
Move all our bedroom stuff out of DS room
Dust and vac DS room
Label our gift to DS
Defrost foods for tomorrow
Walk the dog
I am going to make another cup of tea, give DS his breakfast and then go and dye my hair before I go in the shower. Not much time this morning as we have to leave at 11.30pm for lunch.
Banking has been checked and I was going to TT 37p to the CC but all my budget is allocated and it would put me in the red in YNAB. The debit card payment I made to the target CC still hasn't cleared which is a bit frustrating.
The LTSB CC statement is available so I will check this as the balance has gone up but this is due to having to book some hotels on it before my replacement corporate card turned up. I will use the actual figure in my totals otherwise I will get in a fuddle and it will be paid off at the end of Jan with my expenses anyway.
I will update all my balances on NYE.
If I don't get back on today Merry Christmas to you all xxSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
