Round trip Manc/Fukuoka/Perth

Hi

We can't get our head around this - can you help please?

We want to travel in April 2018. It doesn't matter if we visit Japan first or Australia we just want the cheapest and easiest option.

There are two adults, a 3year old (maybe will have turned 4 by the time we fly back) and an under 2.

If we do a return trip to Fukuoka, Japan it's around £1,400 and similar price for return trip to Perth, but if we go Manc/Japan/Oz/ Manc it's coming up as £4,000. We are not sure why it would cost more. Can anyone please give us advice on how to get the price down please

We want to be away for a maximum of three weeks.

Any guidance would be massively appreciated!

Thanks

Multicity is coming out for me at £1.5k for the exact trip you propose - however only for flights in March. It could be you are too early for booking April 2018 (although it's supposed to be 355 days in advance), so the cheaper fares are not yet loaded.

Maybe try in a month ?

Some airlines have a 335 day lead in time.

Some specific flight days on a part of the route may also be priced high (e.g. Easter).

I'd suggest there's no rush to book. Play around with your dates a little on google flights (ITA matrix link above can help). Also, play around with Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki as start locations for a business class fare. You might get lucky and be able to travel posh for £2k each if you book during a sale.

(Note you need to get to and from Scandinavia under your own steam and outbound I'd suggest an overnight stay to ensure you get your flight)

Hi Malkie, I've just had a look and it's still coming out at £4k so maybe I'm doing something wrong compared to you

There are no direct non stop flights between Fukuoka and Perth.

If you want to avoid heathrow, Cathay Pacific and Singapore airlines can do one stop flights from Manchester through Hong Kong or Singapore, play around with multi stop searches on their websites.

Hi, we are looking at this again as suggested above we waited a month.

We have a child under 2 coming with us who will sit on our lap but appears to be being charged the same as our 3 year old who will have her own seat - this doesn't seem right to us? Is it?

    Thanks!

Some airlines may have different policies, some airlines may want non lap infants in a car seat or similar, you may need to check the details on the airline's website.

Is there anyone on this site/anywhere on this site who sells flights who could find us a good deal?

What's the best deal direct with an airline or Expedia you've found so far?

Why not post an example of what you have found thus far? Dates and prices.
One cannot guess as to how long you would wish to spend in each destination.
