My mum had a howdens kitchen installed 5 years ago. Against the advise of many, she also went with the cheap entry range 'lamona' white goods. No surprise that the oven, and washing machine both went wrong within 18 months and required replacing.

We had factored the purchasing of new white goods into the £5k allowance for improvements. Look at that hob

You're obviously aware of Lamona quality then.
However, I wonder what the quality of the rest of the house is like if they've cut such corners in the kitchen?

That's the worry. There is a plot of 10 x 3 and 4 bed detached homes due to be built just along the road (in much nicer spot) overlooking the fields and woodland in the distance. Designs and floor plans look much more promising.

We enquiried with the company marketing the site (to be), who said they're yet to release prices but would expect starting from around £260k. We've only spoken to Halifax so far, but going by their figures we would be £20-30k off affording one. I'm hoping they're being overly generous with they're suggested price

Can you qualify that by letting us know your experience of the housing market in King's Lynn?
Or even by spending 30 seconds on rightmove looking at that area? If you do, you'll see that this property DOES in fact look quite good value.

How much did it eventually sell for?
