Quick update for anyone following. I'm am in court next week. Had a letter from Gladstones to say they won't be attending and have requested the Judge make a decision based on the evidence they have submitted. It surprised me that they can and would do this!0

doesnt surprise us, its the same for all (they never attend because the claimant PPC never pays them to do so)
good luck
ps:- I suppose a PPC might send somebody along instead, so be prepared for it0 -
ES won't attend but are likely to discontinue at the last moment. The Gladstones letter is just to stop people making a claim for costs - but you can do it anyway if you go along in person. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Well, you need an oral hearing meaning you see the judge.
You need a judge to make a fair decision based on your
defence as well, not just their evidence.
Contact the court to say you will be attending
Gladstones are only one part of this and if they don't
want to turn up, that is their problem.
Also get your costs schedule together to present to the judge
Once Gladstones know you will be attending they will
no doubt discontinue ..... this is one of their little tricks
Terrible terrible shower of a company0 -
Thank you all for your replies. Should I call the court or post to them to say I'll be attending. I obviously was turning up anyway as I wouldn't want to risk losing on default and I have done all the work so no point wasting it
I do hope they discontinue though as I'm so nervous about it and I'm moving house on the same day which is definitely not ideal!0 -
Call the court and confirm it in writing. Call them tomorrow if the hearing is set for next week0

Have you any photographic evidence of where one car park merges with another and also the relevant signs?
If so take a number of copies/ They are not evidence, as such, but may be introduced to clarify any references to these in the claim and defence.0 -
Yes got pics from the day of the ticket and also since they have blocked the access between the 2 car parks with rubble. Lots of sign pics and a google earth image showing where I bought my ticket, the route I drive after buying it and where I parked. Also included a copy of the Beavis sign for comparison.0

Is this the same car park as claxtome? Remarkably similar, if not...

Yes, it's the same one, we've spoken on here previously. Think my case is up first if memory serves me right.0
