Used car tax, v5c only has 11 not 12 digits!?

It did accept just 11 digits though, would`nt accept 12.

That's proof that there IS a more recent V5C in existence - probably the red one.

So where is it...?

Wonder if its just a case that the previous owner had lost it or mistakenly gave the old v5c when the part exchanged the car?

Just to update I went and had it taxed at the post office, they just scanned the bar code and I paid, no questions asked. I said it wouldnt work online.
