Send messages to any bidders warning them of potential scam.

Just ignore Fay, im sorry Kitty but she vigourously defends any anti ebay threads and tries to ruins peoples posts by questioning your "moral crusade" instead of questioning ebay. (Obviously either works for or is paid by them)

Thanks for highlighting yet another ebay scam, its appreciated and these posts do not need abuse thrown at them, and on her behalf, i apologise, cos i guarantee, she wont.

Thanks for the support. I am not worried by people like Fay. If genuine people want to support me that is fine - I am not bothered by people who throw abuse as they can't see anyone else's point of view- if she is an ebay employee then it doesn't promote their customer service very well! (Not that I think their customer service is any good anyway).

Thanks for the advice, but you cannot do this - all bidders IDs are kept private now until the auction ends. I have emailed the winning bidder on a number of occasions though.

Can anyone advise on this listing?? I am suspicious but can't see that the photo is copied or anything. I have emailed them a couple of questions but with no response (checking why they don't accept paypal etc.)

Thank you for your input. I try to provide a balanced view but clearly it's wasted on you.

I hoped to give OP some help to recover their money, but they haven't given much info, and I really don't feel like trying very hard if I'm just going to get slated for... what was it... being an ebay employee?

Almost 2000 of my posts, most of them in this forum, have been thanked, but that counts for nothing does it? because I'm out to get all the good people.

    Have a nice thread....

I don't think anyone is really out to get anyone here. I guess it is just a bit frustrating when someone suggests you are on a "moral crusade" when you are not only trying to recover from being the vicitm of fraud yourself, but trying to prevent it from happening to others.

Also, it is not easy to provide lots of detailed information about individual fraud on sites like these - most people are looking for general advice. I personally want to know how ebay deal with such cases as I find it amazing that hundreds of pounds are scammed out of people on almost a daily basis.

It was a perfectly honest question actually. If you want your money back, there are people who can help... and things you can do... but if you're out to right the wrongs of ebay... you're looking at a damn near impossible task. Ask Richie, he complains about it enough.

Well, ole Richie sure does love to slate me :) And a thanks goes a fair way to indicating who the crowd-pleaser is

Well... so long as you're not that bothered about your own £500, I'll be on my way.

Of course I'm bothered about my £500, but I know I can't get it back so my only way is to try and prevent other people losing their money.
  • I have also been scammed by a user called DANCARBLUE(started separate thread a while ago)

Unless you are the same person who has already contacted me via ebay, I know of someone else who has been scammed by this person. Like you say, nobody really sounds intrested though. It's only our money at the end of the day........

I have read and taken a lot of notice of Fay's posts on various threads, and have always found her to be most helpful, not at all the way you suggest.
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
