David listing the debts which most were in his sole name and the property on his wife's sole name. He believes that although both racked up the debt by using the electricity, water, gas etc because they are in his name then it's okay and was looking for ways not to pay this. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5410462

Look through the previous posts makes a lot more sense. I am not attacking him just trying to be realistic with him. Seems to me that they believe they do not have to pay any bills because the bills are in one name and the house has been transferred to the other persons name. It would seem that insolvency options have been considered but as David is not insolvent with that level of equity then they have been unable.
