CIFAS Warning causing worries

I am a newbie here and looking for some help to try and put my financial life somewhere near to back in track!
Last year we tried to get a sub-prime mortgage, but we had a copy of our credit file sent to us by the mortgage broker and it showed that there was a CIFAS warning against us from Welcome Finance (I had a loan with them and before I could make the first payment, I lost my job and defaulted), when i spoke to the branch where I took the loan, they told me that they did not believe I had lost my job and thought I had committed fraud to obtain the loan and this is where I think the CIFAS warning has come from.
Does anyone know what I can do to try and clear my name, we are trying to do a part-rent, part-buy scheme, but I fear with this on my file we will never be able to do this
If anyone has any advice I would be more than grateful
Thanks in advance
David
