No, i'm going right, they're going straight on.......... At some point I have to change lanes on the roundabout in order to exit, otherwise i'd just keep going round and round and round......

So if you're behind them they go straight on and you turn right. Where's the need to slam your anchors on?

    Now your just being obtuse.....

It goes without saying that if i'm in lane 2 and idiot is in lane 1, that we are next to each other and all i can see is his indicator flashing as though he's about to take my front end off.............

Last week I was in the right hand lane indicating right to go 270 degrees with junctions at 90 and 180 and a car was left hand lane not indicating and did the same, at least I know the horn works !

I see two idiots, show a bit more restraint. You get too wound up when you drive, often over non issues.

We seemed to go through a phase several years ago when it became common to indicate right when going straight on at a roundabout. I even bought a new copy to see if they'd changed the Highway Code without telling me. I thought the practice had died out again.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Lorry driver was totally wrong. (I'm assuming that "road on the left" means he was waiting to enter the roundabout from what would be the 1st exit from your viewpoint). If someone is approaching from your right and NOT indicating then you must presume they are going to pass across the front of you.

In that situation, if I was taking the 1st exit I'd be indicating left on approach to the roundabout. If I was going straight on I'd not be indicating at all until I'd passed the 1st exit and then would indicate left. If I was going right I'd indicate right on approach to the roundabout, then indicate left after I'd passed the exit before the one I wished to take.

    All very straightforward and clear.
    Yes - exactly.

Mind you, I am in Bracknell, and the general rules here seem to be:
    1. If turning left, don't indicate at all.
    2. If going straight on, indicate right to show that you're not going left; leave the right indicator on as you exit, because it'll self-cancel.
    3. If going right, you can't indicate right, 'cos that means you're going straight on, so just don't indicate; optionally indicate left once you have started turning into your exit, to show that your indicators do work.

    It hasn't!

(And apparently I was in the wrong for not doing it...)

I don't know what the hell your talking about, it's not even as though your twisting my words, it's more like you've added 20 words between every 1 that i've actually said and basically i'm not having this conversation any more. The voices in your head must really keep you up at night......

Totally agree with Strider590, this so winds me up as you have no idea what the person is going to do, go straight on or in the wrong lane and turning right!
"You shouldn't indicate to go anything less than 12 oclock, I get properly sick of people on two lane roundabouts (yes a bit different), indicating right to go straight on, the number of times i've had to slam on the anchors for these idiots is just crazy, you just don't know if they're going to cut you up."
