I will also ask if they have any plans to upgrade their tills so that separate calculators are not needed. One puzzling action is that some till operators allow me to retain the original receipt even if all the items have been refunded. I make a lot of purchases on a regular basis at this store so making copies would take a lot of time expense and paper. I like to check my credit card statements with the original receipts in case any errors have occurred. If shopping at ASDA, M&S, NEXT, BOOTS and most other major stores the original receipt is handed back to me consistently as a matter of course as they all appear to have the same policy on this matter. Thank you for your replies and I will update when I know more.
I don't understand why you are making such a big deal of this?.
Just return the item to the store and if they say they need to keep the receipt and i needed it for future reference it would take me only seconds to get my phone out and take a picture of it before i hand it over to them. Simple!
How do you cope when you have to deal with a real problem?0
