Hi Chums I have had a great day out, sore feet ,but well worth it .What a great market it is in Bury and I'm so glad we went there,I bought lots of fabulous wool for my charity blankets at only £1.00 per 100 gms, half the price of what it is in Kent.
Plus I went into the spice shop there, and spent ,probably far too muchbut again half the price of stuff down south.
The people we met we so welcoming and friendly and every where we stopped we chatted to some smashing people
.Got a couple of freebie coffees with my Greggs vouchersbought the boys some sweets etc to take home with me .tonight as we ate out we are having some ham and salad rolls with fresh fruit instead of cooking. We came back to High Lanes mid afternoon and drove into Lyme Park and parked up and sat in the beautiful sunshine drinking coffee from a flask that I had made
We are going back there tomorrow for a proper look around as we both have NT membership cards. Monday we are hoping to go into Manchester and see the Lowery and the imperial war museum and if we have time have a good mooch around Media city
So much to see and do I think we will be coming back again at some point. Its so nice to chat to local people and they genuinely seem to be pleased to see visitors.
the kettle is calling for another cuppa .Hope everyone has been lucky with the sun ,its been a gorgeous day today weather wise
Cheers chums

I will be looking up the potato pastry recipe tomorrow so will post it on tomorrow's thread for you. Basically mashed potato cooled down with a little butter rubbed in and then flour is added before it is rolled out and used as a topping. It might be good with a quorn or soya base or maybe cheese and onion?"This site is addictive!"
