Wireless - please help me

Igot a horrible feeling i was supposed to unconnect from modem and turn on wireless modem to do that, wasnt I? :mad:

Im Back

And now i cant even get the bloody computer to connect to the modem, so cant even check that!

This is going from bad to worse :mad:

You think i should stay on normal modem and chuck router in bin, if for no other reason, to save my sanity

After you've plugged in the power on your router again just go into the laptop, Start -> Control Panel and re-run the Wireless Network Connection Wizard.

Check thru IE that you can access the router again by typing in the address 192.168.2.1

If that's OK plug your phone line into the router, then try the Command Prompt to ping https://www.bbc.co.uk again (without your other standalone modem connected to your pc).

If you get response timed out reconnect the phone line to your standalone modem, connect it to your laptop then post back here to let me know the result.

I hate to say this but been on phone to belkin for last two hours and it seems i have a dodgy modem.
