What is going on here? That laptop doesn't max out at 2GB of RAM. Will accept 4GB at least.
Windows 7 and beyond Drivers are here
Not all are up to date, but updated are easily found or likely to be installed during the install of the OS.
Those appear to be for a different machine
Medion WIM2140
Manual calls is
QUICK START GUIDE WIM 2200 (MD 96630)

Twas other site that said max 2gb
Crucial page does say
Maximum Memory:4GB
but does say
Slots:2 (2 banks of 1)
I guess other must have been confused as it does offer a 4gb kit

I have noticed a post wherein someone complains that they couldn't enable the Wireless card using Windows 7. We'll see how it goes. Worst case scenario can be fixed with a £2.50 adaptor.0

OP wants to install Windows 7 and there might be an issue with enabling the wireless card. Totally on-topic.

Seriously...what is going on with you? Your posts are becoming increasingly misleading.
Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering what you were on about, of course is assumes 2140 is right
This page suggests the the WIM2140 is in fact the MD 96623
Medion WIM2140 (WIM 2140) MD96623 (MD 96623), Laptop Motherboard Schematic diagram
http://laptop-schematics.com/view/6069/
I did find an old eBay 2013 listing from Germany where a user suggested
Hmmmn, I think the OP may need to check the label on their machine for MSN number and maybe a WIM number, whichever exists
Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

You've linked to the wrong machine twice in one thread. What is going on with you?
What you mean where I have quoted you in #12 and #13 pointing to the wrong link ?
I am SORRY that this seems to UPSET you.
I can only post what Medion does, it is their site, take it up with them, I suspect they know what they are doing
"MEDION AKOYA MD 96350 A-UK MSN: 30007792"
Manual link on that page takes to
https://www.medion.com/gb/service/_lightbox/handbuch.php?msn=30007792&prod=MEDION%20AKOYA%20MD%2096350%20A-UK
Which is where it says 96630
As they are the manufacturer and not some dodgy 3rd party site with adware, I have to believe that this is the closest compatible.
Thanks for pointing it out but take it up with Medion
at least I do not edit my links with wrong links, again
"Last edited by NiftyDigits; Today at 1:07 PM."
Now as that orginal Medion page shows the MSN number I have enlarged it just for you
SO as the MSN number is is 30007792"
http://www.medion.com/gb/service/_lightbox/treiber.php?msn=30007792
I think safe to conclude that is correct page, most of links are identical to ones I posted above, I have left my links in place because they include one Vista driver rather than XP
Version: 8.3.1.1009 - Win Vista 64bit/Win Vista 32bit
As I said, there do not appear to be any Win7 drivers for this machine, OP can try yours which appear on some 3rd party site for what might be the same machine or might not.
Or they can try Vista drivers from the manufacturer site, which may be a safer bet.
I suspect that the machine IS limited to 2gb after all, that is what most of the web pages of the era say.
Lesson here is not to buy a laptop at ALDI Zoostorm or any other minor brand, stick with main suppliers like Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Not my error, the medion site maybe, I DID explain it above.
To answer your question, NO, it is not worth your time, you have been asked to ignore my posts but you carry on nit picking, confusing users, polluting threads and so it goes on and on and on.
I have seen this kind of obsessive behaviour before, in DSMV
As I said above and now below, OP needs to check their machine^^^^ Off topic ?????

Can you see your error yet?
Once again, it is an MD 96350, not MD 96630. So it is MSN 30007261
Why do you insist on embarrassing yourself?
Perhaps I need to explain it again, try reading your own post
Now look carefully
it seems that the model you quote in green has the letters UK on it and right next to that is the MSN number 30007792
Now the yellow one does too but who knows where you found that (no links provided)
I suspect that there were later and earlier models.
As I said I am not responsible for Medion site nor for your failure to comprehend
try going through the quote below, again, maybe you will get it right this time.
