PPS Summons

Options
Hi. I have received a court summons from the Public Prosecutions Service accusing me of driving without due care and attention. It was a very minor accident at 7.30am on a dark November morning where I was turning in to a side street in order to find a car parking space before work. A motor cyclist seemingly came out of nowhere and clipped the front left of my car. In the summons letter my DOB and address is incorrect and in the official police statement my DOB is incorrect. Will this help my case? Also, in the 4 and a bit months after the incident 2 of my sisters have committed suicide on seperate occasions which has left me in a terrible mental state so this is the last thing I need. Can anyone help? I am calling a solicitor on Monday but would just like some advice from anyone who has experienced something similar. Thanks in advance, Emma.

So no nip or 172 notice and straight to summons from an agency that doesn't exist?

This is in Northern Ireland I should have added. I was cautioned in the house by a police officer who informed me that it would be referred to PPS and the most likely outcome would be a fine and driving course but unfortunately it has gone to court :(

Excuse me? What is this about and why am I being attacked for asking for advice? If you must know the car I was driving was a Vauxhall Astra Energy

Yeah, well you're in the clear as there's no imaginary evidence your AE was driving.

    I think you're confused.

Don't worry about the summons as you'll just need to go to court and tell them there's no evidence you were driving. But be sure to tell them you're banned too.

But I am not banned. I have never had a penalty point in my 13 years of driving. I am worried that I may lose my licence as a result of this even though it was very minor in my opinion
