Better sill, why not wait until they have read these posts, thought about it and now realise they have to do something about it. It appears the first date to move to the Baseline Tariff is 8/10, come back 6 weeks (mandatory notice for a tariff increase) then all will have to be sorted out by 27/8 . I am a patient man, it only takes 2 minutes to compare the new tariff plus any available additional discounts etc. with the best alternative tariff in our area, it can take days for PS to sort out their business model and get it signed off ........0

I joined PS on 13th April this year. They have recently emailed to say I'm being moved from Easy Saver onto the baseline tariff from 21st August - next week. Wonder why I'm August and not October???0

OK, so they tell you that you are being moved onto Baseline Tariff, they tell you what the First Year Promise figure is (usually a poor guarantee) then tell you if you buy all the Powerpacks they offer you can achieve the Top Shopper rate. Will that satisfy you or will you require them to prove/promise the discounts and value of Powerpacks they will make available will allow you to achieve the Top Shopper rate?0 -

My previous year with i-supply was similar usage and I paid £30 a month, my year's cost was about £335. Their tariff was going up and my annual bill estimate for 17/18 was £440. I was planning to leave for other reasons but this estimate was the decider.
My annual usage is about 3200 kwh with about 60% as night time as I have storage heaters. All in all the Powershop experience has been positive, whether it continues to be we'll see.0 -
Ah, just phoned them. It's only the name that's changing, the actual tariff will stay the same until 13th April next year. Panic over!0

Hi
I switched just now from Scottish Power, after reading this interesting thread.
It seems that Powershop is a bit like getting cashback from a mobile phone contract with the likes of eSave and mobiles.co.uk. I'll need to be organised, in other words
How easy is it to trip up and forget to buy the correct amount of packs?

@Hostage - read the last four paragraphs of post #745 - they will give you some advice on what to do. Initially I would check your account every day for the first few weeks to see when new Powerpacks appear.0

As well as checking your account on the Powershop website regularly, install the Powershop app on your smartphone to receive instant notifications of new Powerpacks. The app is also the quickest and most convenient method of submitting meter readings.0
