It appears that the variable option that you refer to is not available in the Yorkshire Region.

The Which.co.uk comparison shows Just Up 18 Wk13 Direct Tariff (with £30 Exit fee) as £31.87 cheaper than the PS Top Shopper April 2018 Issue 1.

For Yorkshire the Top Shopper April 2018 Issue 1 has a charge of 0.11445p per kWh as opposed to the current 0.10836p for the easy saver.
An increase of 5.6% for the new "Top Shopper" compared with the "old" Easy Saver Tariff!

Too much confusion, too many questions creeping in here. With a very competitive sign up and forget tariff available from Utility Point (and Outfoxthemarket not far behind) I am not sure I will last through April, never mind October when my 12 months are up.

On the other hand I see a new powerpack with a 28.5% discount has just landed in the shop... ;)

This could be very clever marketing. Increase the baseline cost and offer large Powerpack discounts. None of that changes the basic fact that the Promise has risen considerably for new customers: the unknown is how the new 'fixed tariff' for existing customers will relate to the new Promise offer?

I am rather pleased that I switched away to Bulb with a £100 discount, and then Octopus with a further £100 back.

It appears its a recurring powerpack too available every month. Might as well make the most of my savings while I'm still a powershopper

Is my anniversary date of June 6th the earliest of group members or does someone have an earlier date their easy saver promise expires. Im curious as to what rate we will go onto once our easy saver expires. I have asked powershop but not had an answer yet.

If all references to Standard are replaced by Baseline from April is my base tariff now the new Baseline figure or the old Standard tariff as it was when i signed up? If the former there is probably not much point carrying on with PS.

Are you still on your easy saver promise griffb. Ie have you been with powershop less than twelve months and when did you sign up

My understanding is any rate switch only takes place after your first anniversary

Here's the paragraph taken from powershops website

"I joined Powershop before April 2018; what is my pricing model?
If you joined us before April 2018 you'll be a Powershop Pro customer on a standard variable rate and buying Powerpacks to save against this rate. Once you've been with us for over 12 months, we'll get in touch to move you from your standard variable rate to a fixed rate. You'll still buy Powerpacks to save against this rate as normal, and all the details regarding the tariff costs will be in our communication.

Your First Year Promise (previously known as Easy Saver Promise) will also end after you've been with us for 12 months, but by then you'll be buying Powerpacks and beating your First Year Promise anyway!"

My account review is due in 6 days. It will detail what tariff I'm on. If its been changed without me being notified I will make sure everyone knows. Remember I only discovered these changes purely by accident and a random visit to powershops website

No one has been notified of these changes
