You've just sparked a memory about my early days with PS. This moving the circled day forward thing happened to me at the beginning.

I think (just a guess mind you) that it happens when your online account has been set up but PS have yet to receive details about your annual consumption and/or possibly the final meter readings with your old supplier.

Remember, I'm only guessing that's the reason why - why not ask PS what the reason is and post their reply on here?
I did ask but they had no idea.

I don't think it's to do with the details in my case as the readings and annual consumption have been verified and I can see that they've initially estimated my usage using the annual consumption figures.

First billing period ran from 6th Jun until 7th July. Then 8th July to 3rd August. 4th August to 6th September. 7th September until 6th October. 7th October until 7th November. 8th November until 13th December. Then it finally settled to 13th billing every month and has been there since December 13th 2017. At beginning my statement date did keep altering. Sometimes the billing date would reach the 1st for example and get extended until 6th. I had no idea when my statement would gone. Now it always arrives on 13th without fail

That's a bit worrying that they didn't know why. Unless the person who was responding to your query was new and relatively inexperienced with their systems.

As posted above, I managed to reach Top Shopper rates in my first billing period. This was mainly due to being away for a couple of weeks (after I'd bought the powerpacks) so had much lower usage than they had estimated. Unfortunately, this new billing period's powerpacks have been sized based on this lower usage so I'm now short for this month.

What usually happens in this situation - will there be any additional powerpacks offered now that the average daily usage is back to normal? I suppose I can't complain, really - the low usage worked well for me in the first month but is working against me now, so what goes around comes around...

I spoke with PS yesterday - their agent confirmed further powerpacks should be available mid-month,

I am due to complete my first 12 months with PS on the 13th April and I'm wondering what happens to my tariff at this point? Will I be moved onto the latest Top Shopper rate that is offered to new customers? For me, the latest Top Shopper rate shown on Energyhelpline (PowershopTop Shopper November 2018 Issue 1), still beats everything else on the market by around £40 per year.

18 months I stayed on my original tariff. They will contact you and advise you.

    Thanks for that.

Fingers crossed then; my tariff is about £60 per year cheaper than their latest.

I've been told by Powershop customer services that there will be two Powerpacks coming up shortly - "Blue Monday" on the 21st January and "Dry January" around the 28th.

I still have 3 days of this billing period not covered by Powerpacks at the moment, and this is very likely to increase with the cold conditions that started today. Hopefully these packs will take care of that.

Just to update with my experience after joining Powershop, I rang them to enquire about my usage being underestimated and the special packs that I had missed out on due to not being able to log in yet. At first the guy was like "ah yep I see, you've missed out on these packs". He went off to sort things out, and they recalculated the values of the available packs to my actual usage, but regarding the packs I'd missed he said his supervisor had told him that it was normal and that the rest of the packs that month would be sized to make up for the ones I'd missed (I'm still not sure that's correct, but anyway). So no extra discount/compensation or anything.

I kept entering meter readings, but apparently they still sent someone to take a reading a few days later (on the 10th of December), which it seems was done at a low point because everything recalculated again at that point and the values of the packs ended up slightly lower (but not by much - but still slightly annoying that I didn't purchase the future packs before that happened). It's now obviously another month later, I carried on entering readings during that time (which were slightly above their estimates), but no further recalculation of the values seemed to happen this month.

I've bought all the special packs that have been available to me so far, and the February future packs (held off buying any further future ones so far because I still have time, and the discounts are much lower). I've just gone to buy the March ones (mainly because I seem to remember it saying somewhere that I had to buy ALL available packs to be sure of getting the Top Shopper rate, and that packs with bigger discounts are always used first anyway), but I've noticed something strange. All of the future packs on my account have always been listed as 2 copies of the pack for each month, both with the same discount and values. For February I bought one of each of the 2 copies, as I'm pretty sure that's the most it would let me do, but I've now noticed that it's actually letting me add 2 of each of the copies of the March pack to my cart (so 4 in total). I don't really want to buy that many, as that would mean spending about £80 and it's only a 5.4% discount, but I will if I have to.

However, I'm now more concerned that I might have missed out with the February packs (which were a much bigger discount). Was anyone actually able to buy more than 2 of these?

    Thanks
