Carrot ribbons are a lovely idea. I will add them to my next stir fry
Glad you are over the IBS and back on the go.
Maybe take a snack pack with you wherever you go in case of late night emergencies. Nuts, an apple, cheese? If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

RETIRED: MAY 2021!!!!😀🎆
My diary: “Seasidegal's Scrimpy Retirement Diary!”1 -
I’ve just made it through the week from hell. Tax return done, charity return done despite technology failures. Tax bill paid despite initially using the wrong card and trying to pay it from my current account. Didn’t realise I’d have to pay half of the current year liability as well with the other half in July but at least the money was there.
Oh, and I had a funeral to attend and an emergency meeting of the trustees due to a nightmare decision by the funder coupled with the usual absences due to ill health etc.
Still, it is now the weekend even though I need to work tomorrow to serve lunches etc.
Last night me and my credit card sat down together and had a discussion with the internet. Underwear was purchased while the sale was still on along with slippers, a skirt and two items for the offspring all from an outlet that was giving me 50% off yesterday. I also got cash back.
Today I intend to spend more money. I have £10 off a £50 spend in the orange diy store and have identified approximately £35 of needed spends. I also will be visiting home bargains or an equivalent to replace the clothes horse I dumped some time ago without which I am unable to dry woollens flat. I have 3 things to be laundered in this way before they leave the house forever. One will go to the charity shop and the other to turtle doves in hope of gaining fingerless gloves. The third will be parked until I see how the turtle dove thing works out. It is known as a colandered cardigan but is used for hibernation purposes. If the gloves are lovely, I may be able to sacrifice it!
Today I am doing a clear out of the fridge as there is a background smell that I don’t like. I’m worried there may be something lurking. I’m also dealing with laundry and other bits and pieces. This evening I intend to curl up with a box of tissues to watch casualty. I know how to party

I've sent stuff to turtle doves before, and as long as there is enough undamaged fabric to get two pairs of gloves out of, they send you one. Mine have been very useful (and I've given them as gifts too). I buy quite a few bits from them (hat and neckwarmer for myself which I wear a lot, and neckwarmers, wristwarmers and gloves as presents), the quality is always good and people seem to like them. So a good use of cashmere that can no longer be worn in public1

Thanks green bee. I have no real need of the gloves but need an incentive to part with cashmere. I didn’t do the diy store order though we did find a £10 clothes horse on the website. We also found items that were not available in store, not available click and collect and not available for delivery. Why not just label as out of stock!
I also didn’t tackle the fridge. I’m not sure where the day went but I didn’t turn my laptop on once! So, no housework and no work work but omg, I did watch casualty. A better departure than getting into a cab but a complete tearjerker.
I did go to Tesco to buy cut price Easter eggs to give as gifts to client staff. I was able to take advantage of a coupon but miscalculated on my spend. This meant a supermarket sweep type dash with some benefit to the fb collection trolley. I also got reduced price bread which is currently being turned into bacon and mushroom sarnies before I go to work.

You’re very organised getting Easter eggs already. The finances are sounding good too :beer:January spends - £587.581

The Easter eggs are half price until the 4th. I have money off vouchers so I buy Easter eggs. Did a nice 3 hour shift yesterday then did nothing bar eat junk. Tonight I need to get my click and collect from the diy store that was ordered to take advantage of the money off while tackling things that irritate. We will hopefully have a functioning bell by the end of the week along with an ash pan, clothes horse, replacement light bulbs, etc.
Tonight I need to do invoices, money juggling etc and see where we are with the credit card. I also need to get stuff to a different client for tomorrow.
Today I am grateful for
Progress at that client

Didn’t do invoices, money juggling or get stuff to client. Instead I went to b&q who didn’t have the order they had emailed me to say was in store. I then went to 2 tescos to-get the remaining for client Easter eggs and used my voucher plus added another £10 of essentials to get the 5p a litre off fuel voucher. My £40 spend included a tub of Ben & Jerry’s as dh has an offer to reclaim the cost.
I had another fall yesterday at the client. Fortunately another staff member was with me as it was in the attic. I also had some troublesome correspondence from a key stakeholder that was completely unnecessary and just jack booting.
Today the IT project moves forward which means an earlier start. I have also invited someone to my house tomorrow morning and I’m now in panic mode about how it looks.
Today I am grateful for
