Thanks C-M
Unfortunately the BB Holder doesn't have an email address!
Shall I draft a letter and ask them to sign it and send it in an email attachment?0 -
Yes, do that. Make sure they quote what Dee says, back at her.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What do you think of the following.
Dear Miss Davis
I xxxxxxxx am the BB holder of the attached BB.
The Badge is mine and I was the person visiting the Hospital that night and by the way, you are wrong about the signs being adequately lit.
We saw no such terms and we displayed my Blue Badge in good faith and it WAS being used legitimately.
Please now end this harassment and honour your promise in the email below that 'Most appeals will be cancelled for the first offence where it can be proved that the badge was used by the authorised holder'.
As the authorised holder of the BB, I look forward to receiving a prompt confirmation that this PCN has been cancelled and please feel free to reply to this email (xxxxxxxx) as I do not have an email of my own and I do not wish to experience any delay with the post.
Kind regards

I would add the person's home address or Date of Birth so they can check he/she was the person attending (and say who they saw/which area/Doctor/Nurse and why).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will add the BB Holder Address and DOB
But the BB holder was not a patient that evening, they were waiting for a family relative to leave A&E.
I don't want to / don't feel I have to give the details of the person they were waiting for....That is confidential patient information.
Surely for this purpose the BB Holder is writing to confirm he/she was present and that they were present at the time of use and this is enough0 -
you can try it , but the BB holder is not using the badge correctly if they are waiting for another person , the badge is provided for their use only
ie:- if they are sat in the vehicle waiting for an able bodied person (none BB holder) to leave, they should not be in a BB bay at all
so you need to be careful how you word any complaint because this could easily backfire due to misuse of the badge0 -
but they were inside with the patient so they weren't just sat in the car.
I will write the following to her;
BB Holder Address
Dear Miss Davis,
I xxxxxxxx am the BB holder of the attached BB. (DOB is xyz)

fair enough as long as the BB holder was not sat in the car outside but was accompanying the patient inside the building (which is where the vehicle should have been registered, or at security)
so yes , use that letter above if you dont wish to disclose the patients details
ps:- the same scenario has happened to me when I accompanied my wife to hospital , although I didnt have the registration issues that you had here (so no pcn)0 -
Ok thanks Redx, will ask the BB holder to write the letter and I will sent it to Dee.
Hopefully she will respond on Monday. Otherwise I will start to draft my POPLA appeal to submit very soon
Thanks0 -
Still awaiting reply from Dee, if not then I will have to apply to POPLA before the end of the week.
Will keep you posted.
Surely the appeal to POPLA with the letter from the BB Holder should be enough?0
