Parking Eye in Hospital

Hi

I was driving a passenger with a disabled badge. We stopped in the parking bays 'Drop Off & Blue Badge' outside the Royal Free Hospital in London.

I submitted my informal appeal stating that the vehicle had a disabled badge on display and asking PE to cancel it or I will appeal to PALS.

I received a reply on Easter Monday! At 7am! Obviously it was a generic reply with the letter attached again very generalised and automated!

Shall I appeal to POPLA on that basis and also right to PALS?

Much appreciated!

You need to be getting on to PALS immediately. Don't let this fester or they may say it's too late to help.

In parallel, send the blue text initial appeal (from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky) to PE by the deadline shown on their NtK, get your POPLA code, then with a forum assisted appeal, this can be winnable at the POPLA stage.

    Thanks Umkomaas

My Appeal to PE was rejected, there is only one chance to appeal to PE right? Or should the next step be a formal appeal to PE Before the POPLA Stage?

In any case they have not given me a POPLA code, from previous appeals I remember that they had to issue such a code?

    Thanks

Does not sound like a rejection letter.

You should be complaining to the hospital and your local paper.
Show everyone what a bunch of artists the idiots you trusted your hospital to have got in to bed with.

Nice point to raise with the Trust. Due diligence has seemingly evaporated, how can anyone have trust (pardon the pun) in their procedures, given this debacle?

I have written to PALS and attached a copy of the blue badge

I have received a reply from my first appeal to PE but I was not given a POPLA Code.

Is this not the case any more?

Please see below the reply received from PE to my first response to them

Your POPLA verification code is in the second line - starts 60....... Now take the post down as they can identify you from it.

POPLA stage then, like all the others. Back to the NEWBIES thread, read post #3 this time, unless PALS cancel it within 3 weeks.

Escalate the complaint FIRST before POPLA, as it is more likely to be cancelled if POPLA hasn't been used...your code lasts 30 days so there is loads of time to get this cancelled first. If PALS are useless, contact the consultant or Facilities Manager at the Hospital, or email the CEO of the NHS Trust by name and rant like everyone else does.

It works; we had a Sunderland NHS Trust one cancelled in 24 hours today after a PALS rant by a victim I hope you didn't *write* snail mail; it is far more urgent than that and should be done by email for quick results.

    Ok thanks to you both

I have written to PALS by email with proof of the blue badge.

I will await their response as I have marked the email URGENT and if no reply within the next 2 or 3 weeks I will write to POPLA.
