Today I found 5pence on the floor.
I went to @sd@ and bought a free chocolate bar - I put the receipt through Shopmium.
So for the next few days we will be going backwards and forwards sorting out our new place. looking forward to getting some furniture and moving in.

Good news on getting your keys, you will be very busy for a while now. Ok, now I know its late, but what's this "and bought a free chocolate bar" obviously I'm missing something here :rotfl:


Not been on here much as been helping a friend clear out her dad's house, then that put me in the mood, and I started on my own (just to make room for some nick nacks she gave me) carlton ware, eamon glass, and a few others. Delighted.

Shopmium. My introductory offer was for me to purchase a specific bar of c@dbury chocolate and then I upload the receipt. I send pic to Shopmium on phone and it sends me the money for the chocolate into my PayPal account.

I love old pottery and glass. I did get rid of most of mine when I moved in with ex mr t. No room, too much to dust etc etc lol

Ok, so I was paying a mortgage that was never in my name and it felt good to be getting the balance down.
Fast forward to getting a mortgage in my own (and DDs) name and its a totally different ball game. I felt nauseous when I saw the balance on my account. The fact that we are now paying £8.72 A DAY! On interest alone is not a good thing.
Although it felt good to overpay 'the other' mortgage, there was no reality to hit home as it was never my 'legal' responsibility. Now I have one of my own, the excitement is tinged with physical headache and stress. I'm hoping this will settle once we have finished chasing about and get settled in our new home.

Starting to plan.
The initial plan of attack is to try and drop the mortgage balance by at least £1000 each month, how feasible, practical and possible the reality of this is, I'm not sure at this stage. If I manage 1k a month, it should take me just over 148 months to clear it.
It's definitely a target to work towards.
