Could we rejoin without Scotland and Northern Ireland?

After all, we are likely to be net contributors and always welcome.

Can you imagine what the new terms would be if we rejoined. For starters we would have to have the euro which is designed to wreck every economy except Germany in order to force ever closer unifty. Not only would that be for starters, it would also be the end.

What are the re-entry terms of membership?

It does not matter if we had not yet left.

Corbyn has stated several times, very clearly and very publicly, that the public have spoken and the EU referendum result must be implemented.

I'd be very surprised if Labour U-turned on this and ended up with a manifesto commitment to reverse the result.

I suppose the most you might get is a commitment to hold a further referendum on the negotiated terms before the UK formally leaves, but I can only see that happening if Labour ends up in a coalition with the Lib Dems (an unlikely outcome).

We haven't actually left the EU yet. And won't for just under 2 years.

    I don't believe they would
No, just tell them: sorry about the "misunderstanding", but you won't cancel Brexit unless they give us terms that are at least as good as we had, but ideally much better.

If Corbin under labour offers that then they are truely desperate and unelectable. Other world leaders would loose any respect left for the U.K. if anyone tries to beg for a cancellation. Where to even begin on that conversation.

My understanding is that what we've done is a bit like handing in your notice to resign from your job I.e. We have no right to withdraw if (although it could be in the employers interest to let us).

    Can we clear this up?

Do we have a right to withdraw our resignation or not?

    "Conclusions

14.If a Member State decides to withdraw from the EU, the process described in Article 50 is the only way of doing so consistent with EU and international law.

15.There is nothing in Article 50 formally to prevent a Member State from reversing its decision to withdraw in the course of the withdrawal negotiations. The political consequences of such a change of mind would, though, be substantial."

One of the reasons I voted Conservative in 2015 were they were the only ones in a position to offer a referendum. I voted Leave. I do not want a wishy-washy Brexit.

It would take a miracle to convince me to vote Labour and reneging on Brexit, or trying to fudge it, would make me even less likely to, if that is possible.
