I can't fathom your intention? you don't live here as you admit,so why bother voting on something that doesn't affect or concern you?

Welcome to the new global world. Hardly surprising that there is swelling change of opinion. With the establishment taking a kicking.

    Labour election campaigning in action.

From the Grauniad on 21 April

Conservative cuts to overseas aid will destroy millions of lives – for a lie
    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/apr/21/conservative-cuts-overseas-aid-millions-lives-british-spending

So says Kate Osamor, Labour MP for Edmonton and shadow Secretary of State for International Development

Also from the Grauniad on 21 April

Foreign aid 0.7% pledge will remain, says Theresa May

So no Conservative cuts and those millions of lives are safe.:)

You could fund Gina Miller as well. Now that her court bid failed. Asking other people to cough up in order to fight another battle on her behalf.

That sounds an excellent idea. Thanks.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

That doesn't mean that we here in the UK will vote in the French Presidential election though - or in the forthcoming German election in September.

With such a deep seated belief in the traditional British way of life I guess it'll be one extra vote for the BNP there.

    Because it does affect him?

He's still a UK citizen, so can return if he wishes, he likely also has friends/family and could easily have business concerns in the UK.

I think if he was a potential Tory voter there would be less of a fuss.

Almost 350,000 people have registered to vote since Tuesday's surprise announcement that there would be a general election on 8 June.
The highest number of registrations was on the day itself, with 147,000 people registering online after Theresa May fired the election starting gun, along with 3,364 paper forms being submitted.
This was the biggest total recorded for a single day since the EU referendum campaign in 2016.
And the number of young people registering is the highest of any age group.
On the day the general election was called, 57,987 people under 25 registered to vote - more than any other age group. The second largest group was people aged between 25 and 34, with a further 51,341 registering.
The number of new registrations declined the older people got:
19,321 people aged between 35 to 44 registered
10,224 people aged between 45 and 54 registered
6,410 people aged between 55 and 64 registered
3,676 people aged between 65 and 74 registered
1,215 people aged over 75 registered

I guess the explanation is that older people are less likely to be moving and are more likely to be registered in the first place.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
