I've just got in from the school run  (don't ask!) but a big frog munched. Just having breakfast  :rotfl: although I did have a coffee at school... Also popped to pharmacy who helped me get something for DS and his constant throat clearing, fingers crossed...
Need to tackle bathrooms today. And general tidying. Hallway looks like a school bag has barfed in in.
But I need to catch my breath first.Bossymoo

Checked all corners and behind the wardrobe....no Chippendale hiding there. Guess he's whizzed past me from HB to ValliIs the Chippendale on his way to Concrete Cow Country yet? If he perchance has some halfway decent malt whisky about him, I'll be a happy Wolf. Specially as 'tis my birthday today, and I really do NOT like the idea of being 57.
Couple of extra orders submitted so that my Chipendale buddy doeesn't miss anyone out, especially those who have birthdays around about now, and require malt whisky to cope with them. Fayolle and Lamewolf - I'm told he has a thing for feather dusters ....
(((Hugs))) Valli.
Well done on your tax return Ionafan.
Welcome Chocolate Bum!
House-selling vibes for Dancemum's rellies. I hope you're not going down with something, but good news that DS2 coped with DS1's Easter break.
Kitchen sink, hob and floor all sparkly, lots of Kelpie-fluff sucked up, work on sundeck pots continuing and two pots of geraniums potted up on the front steps. Halfway through doing them I had a funny turn so I've had something to eat, a quick sit down and now I'm off to soak in the bath for a hour (or maybe two).
I think I'm lazy until I have a bit of a reminder that I don't have any stamina, never have had, and need to pace myself a bit better. I did do a lot of walking yesterday, apparently far too much, all of it nescessary and ending with a two hour talk by Tim Smit, of Eden Project fame - excellent. So irritating, I have another pile of paperwork I want and need to work through, phone calls, texts and emails that I want to reply to and I just don't have the energy. And we're out tonight so I need to pull myself together for that.Better is good enough.0 -

Welcome Chocolatebum
Ooh you're all ticking off such huge lists; I'm way behind.
Had a scrabble round "public areas" last night and this am as I had an assessment to do at home.
Made a cake as friends coming round later.
Wrapped SIL's birthday gifts as we are all meeting at step-brother's for lunch tomorrow.
Checked fridge etc and gave shopping list to Mr N as he's going round to his mum.
Catching up on emails, piles, lists etc.
No mobile yet
Need to go and water greenhouse now then see if I can get a bit of report written before friends come round.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Many thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.
Nice quiet day yesterday, just as I wished.:o
Manic today though - GP surgery have [STRIKE]fu[/STRIKE] messed up my morphine script AGAIN.:wall::wall::wall:
Onwards and upwards - Mr LW is cooking again tonight. :AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Aww, I just called a 15min clean up time:)
DD put all the errant pencils away, dusted the LR and helped me put uniform in to wash. DS put some other bits away and whizzed round with the air-ram. I loaded the DW wiped round and emptied the bins.
Furries fed, clothes folded, socks paired, cuppa made - all done!Bossymoo

Evening all
What a 24 hours. Came home from holiday to find radiators pumping out heat, even though thermostat set really low. We think they were on constant for the whole week. Cue emergency visit from plumber, and the answer is - try and fix it for over £600 (it's an old boiler so parts aren't easy to come by) or opt for a new one with 7 year warranty. Gone for the latter, it's broken down three times in a year and like keeping an old car going, there comes a point where it's just not worth it. So we need to dig deep for that, and embrace beans on toast for the foreseeable :rotfl:
Got loads of laundry done today, as well as 4 hours paid stuff for DH. Back to school for us on Monday :j:j DD is missing her little Reception buddies, bless her.
Nothing has stuck except for belated birthday wishes for LW and house selling vibes aplenty for Dancemum's rellies.
See you all tomorrow xxMFW
