Afternoon all,
The forecast is dire here for the rest of the week so we've taken the decision to come home early. Not ideal but kids will be climbing the walls if we can't get out (as will we) and at least if it's rubbish weather at home we have all their toys, craft bits etc to use.
Have to admit I'm looking forward to them going back to school / Pre-school on MondayI've heard 'but Mummmmmeeeeeee' more times then I care to recount.
Hugs all round xxMFW

Please may I have one? Without the gin...;)
Returners - don't try to do too much at once - cathching up is NOT necessary. Try dot-to-dot but take it steady. Its a thankless task anyway...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning ladies - nice to see some old faces returning to the nest
Had a funny old day yesterday which started with an early morning phonecall to DH's cousin to check up on him, as his GF was in hospital with pancreatic problems caused by gallbladder inflammation. He was (supposedly) looking after their two small boys. Turns out he took them to his brothers and left them there without milk or clean clothes. His brother and my DH work together, so I'd been given the heads-up that all was not well.
I hope I've persuaded him to go to the doctors as I think he is depressed. GF is having a head-fit from her hospital bed  and threatening to come home, so it's a bit jangly here.
Blew off some steam on a [STRIKE]mountain climb[/STRIKE] walk with a friend yesterday with her two boys and mine. One small stinging nettle accident, horse poo poking with sticks (boys!) and I got caught short and had to tiddle in the undergrowth, but otherwise it went well. Boys in bed for 7pm, which is unheard of and I collapsed onto the sofa, cream-crackered.
My hip kept me awake most of the night and I'm struggling this morning, but have taken some anti-inflammatories, so will be up and at 'em soon. In a while. After my cuppa.....
Did do an hour of ironing yesterday and one half of the kitchen. I'm afraid I closed the door on the microwave after a brave but foolish inspection.
Hope your phone gets sorted today Narc0 - what an annoying situation
Oh, and Valli? Pour your gin in my glass....I'm only on Day 3064 of the Easter break and there's still a looooonng way to go...0 -
Morning all. Welcome returners. Hugs to those who need them.
A no fly zone here again today. I will get dressed and wash the breakfast dishes. I think DH was hinting that some ironing needs to be done, we shall see.
Will be getting creative on a craft project for WI while I can't do much else. It will be judged next week haha.
Have a great day everyone.
