Hello all,
Quite useful day. Mr f cracked on with the painting & he's making great progress. My money saving bits & pieces today:
*Checked veggie plants. Looking ok.
*Pegged laundry out to dry for free in the sunshine.
*Cleaned kitchen using minimal products & washable cloths.
*Ham hock in slow cooker.....going to have a herby bechamel sauce with it & use up sone broccoli & carrots.
*Rice pudding ingredients in dish waiting to go in oven for cheap filling dessert.
*Freezer dive for tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Free fitness giving courtyard a major sweep & tidy.
*Turned out pots of bulbs that had finished. Kept some for replanting in borders.
*Planted out 5 free plants - one was given to me, the others are self-seeded freebies I potted up to fill in gaps.
*Picked fresh herbs - chives, garlic chives & parsley.
*2 baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Synchronised our diaries so we know what we"re doing this week, who has car, which days need packed lunches, etc.
*Checked the ebay items I listed yesterday - 5 items have a watcher.
*Knit
*Refilled all our tiny plastic boxes with dried apricots & raisins for work snacks.
*Refilled loo cleaner bottle (oooh the glamour!) from large bottle bought last month, which was a saving as sufficient to do 3 refills.
Planning to relax tonight, eat rice pudding & watch 'Line of Duty'.
Take care all,

not surprised I'm up early - although given my early retirement it could have been much worse  as I fell asleep at 7.30 on the sofa last night  safe to say I was tired. Last few weeks have caught up with me. I went to bed about 8.15 and was restless for a while but have still had a decent sleep
I've already sorted what I bought back from the sale. I've picked out 6 things to list on fleabay. Rest has been packed away for next one. Sold all the big things bar my pushchair so lots has left the houseI won't know how much I've made for a week or so but I'll be pleased with any amount to go to LPDF
£76.66 refund arrived from car tax so that will go to above when cashed as will the £5.13 'interest' repayment my cc have given me because for some reason the old car insurance company refunded me but dated the start date of the policy. It's a card I only use for spending and pay straight off so I haven't paid interest on it, but very little helps :T
Today I will also:
Make more hummus (socked chickpeas overnight, currently on stove)
Make picnic for day out, use what's in
Pack scooters and picnic in car and go someone we've not been for about 7 years, that's not too far away (nearest national park) for a good long walk out in the fresh air and do a reky to see if we can take our bikes next time
Meals from stores
Water basil plant from Friday, it's really not come back to life yet. Will pick leaves tonight if it still looks lame as didn't get round to making pesto yesterday
See if I can list a few items on fleabay later and delist os,e that have finished
Check April list and see what else I am going to achieve. Add more to May
Write card from stores for friends little boy and wrap present I got in Christmas sales. Will hand deliver later in the week when I'm in the area.
Get ready for back to school things, packed lunches and bags.
Enjoy your Sunday peeps. Purps.
What a lovely day. This year we decided to do more at the weekends. Today was great, went to a nearby national park. Went to a bike track and took girls on bikes, despite them both being on stabilisers. They rode for ages! DH and I had to walk quickly to keep up so good exercise! Picnic from stores but we made banana bread, cheese and apple loaf and a 'strawberry crown' before we went. All dead easy and used stuff we had in. Not sure I'd make the cheese and apple loaf again, it's a bit bland. But the crown was fab and could soon be turned into 'whatever fruit you have on the turn' crown :rotfl:
Will definitely take our bikes next time too as eldest is very close to being of stabilisers so it'll be easier.
Hummus and pesto made when home. Pesto and 2 bags of chickpeas in freezer. DH made soup for lunches this week. I used a 'on its lest legs' courgette and a couple of rashers of ys bacon in a gratin using ys Brie :A smalls had left over meatballs from Friday. My kind of meal all round
Use last uneaten wrap from picnic for packed lunch tomorrow :T just need to check pe kit and we're good to go
And still time to list some bits....
Hope staying away from the lamb wasn't too tricky DNMS well done on the food budget :T0 -

Sorry, forgot to add. For those asking about the sale. It's for the National Child1rth Tru5t. You basically pay a small amount for some labels, price everything up. Drop it off and then go back later to collect. The my tally it all up and keep 30% commission and I get the rest. That way I sell my goods but also give some to charity. They run all over the country if you google them. Well worth doing if you have toys or clothes to get rid of.0

Today has been a busy one. I painted the trellis with cupri stuff, the orange trellis from the house clearance needed two coats but they all blend in more with the fence now.
Suffice to say I DID end up at the garden centreI bought two of the DA roses I couldn't get the other year but used a £10 off £30 shop voucher. I also bought two cheapish pots for them to go in but I wish I'd spent the extra £14 to get the ones I really wanted so I will take them back next weekend when I've been paid.
I had a bit of a calamity there. As I was loading the pots into my car I thought I heard one of the staff wheeling away my trolley, turned round and it was rolling across the car park. I ran after it but it bounced off the side of a car before I got to it. I checked the car and it had made a mark but I'm ashamed to say I drove offThere were people watching (I assume it wasn't their car) who could have taken my registration number but I'm not sure exactly what could be done anyway? I wasn't driving so they couldn't claim on my insurance and I didn't do it on purpose so it wasn't criminal damage. This actually happened to me with my last car when it was just two weeks old and someone's trolley rolled into the door, I was actually there at the time and furious but what can you do?
I have moved Auby and the courgettes to a more central place in the garden where they should get sun for most of the day.
Lunch was a scrambled egg sandwich and I reheated some lamb in mint gravy for a roast dinner tonight and I have a YS Victoria sponge defrosting in case anyone gets peckish later. I did the YS run tonight but just got sandwiches for tomorrow.
Tonight I need to sort through the laundry and put a couple of washes on, my outfits were getting ever more bizarre towards the end of last week  For the last few weeks I've been keeping on top of the teens washing and actually even ironing it but neglecting my own so tonight is MY nightMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
