If the slope is so steep then there's a good chance a dropped kerb would be refused because you would be trying to pull out onto a road totally blind, even without cars parked on the road either side of it

I cannot get into a standard car they are too low plus taxis are far too expensive.I drive an adapted SUV because it is taller.

I would have thought this was quite a common problem and perhaps the regular posters on there may have some advice?

The most cost-effective option I can see is to bend the ear of one of your local councillors, to see if they can get the council to reconsider putting in a disabled bay.
