TBH the incidences of a disabled bay having a TRO applied to make enforceable are very rare and there needs to be a very compelling reason for it to happen. I don't think mobility getting worse would cut it.

    If the
    and
Then I would suggest that you re-apply to the Council for the disabled bay with a re-assessment of need. As others have said, it wouldn't be yours but there is more of a chance of it remaining free; we've only had somebody else park in our disabled bay once in two years.

No point reapplying I was refused because my road apparently is too narrow no appeals accepted.

    Wide enough to park though?

It's a parking space that's been refused not a blue badge.

Sorry yes. Appeal the refusal I should have said. Blue badge would help of course, if not already held.

Unfortunately the front garden is very sloped it's too steep for a driveway.

    Thats often easily fixed.

You think a small sign will make people think twice about parking there? I have a gut feeling your parking could get much worse.

Yes but the road has to be 5.5m even with a 1.6m bay which is the smallest allowed.

Does it slope up or down from the road? If it's up then I think you'll need to look at getting a space dug out, if it's down that might be a bit more difficult although you could investigate whether a platform is feasible.

Unfortunately not "easily fixed" it would take extensive work and a great deal of money that I don't have to create a driveway.

My neighbours just don't think sometimes I would not expect their visitors to know I have mobility problems.
If you don't think a sign would work or would cause problems what do you suggest? I cannot think of a solution.

    It slopes considerable down.

I don't know if this would apply for creating a driveway, but it might be worth enquiring?
