Dealer addons - are they worth it?

in that case it is worth paying the protection £249 for 3 yrs? (also covers punctures and damage from pot holes - although not seen full T&Cs). I found a similar cover online at same around the same price.
Do they cover accidental damage (ie, kerbing)
Is there a limit to the amount of claims?0 -
I didn't take the GAP insurance offered by the dealership and having read the T&C I'm glad I didn't. The insurance would only repay the original purchase price, and as I managed to get a £4k reduction on the list price I could potentially still be out of pocket if it was written off, ignoring the motor insurance policy which provides for a new car if written off within 12 months.0

Personally I wouldn't bother with GAP insurance, new cars depreciate so if you come to sell after 4 years it's worth less than you paid. Why do you need GAP insurance if it's written off after 3 years and 360 days?
That's why you get replacement gap
5 years cover (1 year of normal insurance + 4 years gap insurance) with the assurance that the insurance pays the difference between the car insurance and the cost of replacing it new for oldSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Anyone dealt with Premia Solutions before? (they supply add-ons to the dealers). The dealer has no T&Cs they can supply me to read before buying, and Premia cannot issue them direct to consumers. I was interested to buy a Tyre & Alloy cover.0

The useful "Addons" I bought with my new Hyundai: genuine Hyundai carpet mats, rubber mats, boot liner and Argos seat covers. Under £200. Rubber mats when going somewhere that might be muddy, or to local beaches. Carpet mats when going "aaart - aaart" (as per Mickey Flanagan). Boot liner is brilliant, has a surface that stops stuff sliding about. Both boot liner and rubber mats have a 'lip' to catch any liquid stuff. Seat covers match the car paintwork and are easy wipe-clean, that's for when picking up grandbrats with oily boots and overalls from work.
That other stuff is far too expensive, not necessary and the sales person gets commission, you betcha!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
