Thanking posts but then they unthank themselves

I've done this twice, so it's not me being stupid. The charity shop bargains thread on Old Style - I thanked several posts on there, then I clicked on a link someone has posted to see an illustration of something they have bought, and when I go back to the thread (using the back arrow in my browser - Safari), the Thanks have reversed themselves and the word Thanks is still there, even though it disappeared when I originally clicked on it.

Refresh the page and the thanks will be there.

Sometimes I have clicked Thanks and nothing has happened, although the Thanks button disappears. So I refresh, and do it again. Never had it take them away though :rotfl: .

If yo pare on a phone or a small tablet, it is pretty easy to this thanks instead of reply/quote - I've mistakenly thanked a few people when I go to reply, which is about the only situation where I un-thank a post.
