PE lessons

My previous thread on this issue was deleted, so apologies in advance for anyone who may be offended. But may I ask what should happen for those who don't have their PE kit with them? Or what has happened to those who had PE but didn't have their kit?

Your post was probably deleted as we get a serial poster on here asking about school uniforms, kids' footwear, etc.
I really don't understand your question - do you want a bunch of random strangers on the internet to discuss kids being forced to wear their underwear or something from lost property? You see why it might look a bit strange?
Obviously each school has their own policy. I really don't know why it is of any interest... maybe I'm just paranoid after years on here LOL - especially after some odd threads in the last couple of months.

Sorry. I understand why it may seem a bit strange. But these things do happen in real life and I was after support on how to deal with it0

Ask your mum to send your PE kit in with you at the start of the week. Then you'll have it.Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

I am her mum! But at what age do I stop micromanaging her?0
-
Does she wash and iron her own PE kit? I suppose if not, she'll have to rely on you to a certain extent to have it ready for her. Is she forgetting to take it?
Not sure parents ever stop micromanaging their kids. I'm 47 and my mum still says the most ridiculous things to me like I'm 7.

No, I wash and iron it! But she's 14, so I expect her to remember to take it to school with her0

Fair enough - but that seems to be an issue between the two of you, and I can't really see the relevance of your first post...
I was utterly useless at that age. My mum did everything and she's exactly the same with my 17 year old nieces now. Perhaps your daughter has got used to it, yet you think she should take responsibility for herself. That may come as a bit of a bolt out the blue, so maybe time for a grown up chat saying you don't always think she takes responsibility for herself and that you will put her PE kit in her bag, drawer or whatever and expect her to remember to take it. Don't let it turn into a major row out of nowhere. Stick a copy of her timetable on the front door if it helps!

You would be expected to borrow school PE kit and to then take part in the PE lesson. Refusals to borrow the kit leads to a detention. Complain or do this too often and Parents can expect a phone call home from school.0

School would probably have spare kit to borrow. Manky but usable. The musty smell should put her off doing it again but the school may give detention for repeated forgetting, or possibly even the first time.
At 14 she is old enough to a) remember to take it herself and b) borrow a friend's kit to avoid the school kit/detention when she remembers at school.0 -
Perhaps she's doing it on purpose. PE at that age is not fun unless you're a sporty kid and a complete waste of time.0
