our vehicle's front is totally gone and the engineer came and said its not driveable. but we don't wanna claim as we don't want the company to think that we are trying to get something out of it.

Didn't the investigator question you about how you intended getting your damage dealt with?

don't insurers check on a database to verify No claims or at least ask for evidence or they will cancel within a set period when you take out insurance??

I know I had to give proof 14 days before cover started or they would cancel

Can I just add, you also will need to let the licensing authority know of this as soon as possible.

If a genuine error by a licensed broker it won't be an issue.

If they don't believe him, he may lose his (I assume) Private Hire license.

The sooner you let them know, explaining your version of events to them, the better it will look for him if/when it goes in front of a licensing panel.

The Fraud officer came because my partner said that he doubted the front car had a pre-planned emergency break, resulting us in hitting him from the back.

Few people actually leave the required braking\stopping distance to the car in front.

You stated he has just gained his taxi license, I'm referring to the local authority that licenses him as a driver.

You need to let them know about any damage to the vehicle if it's licensed as a taxi or PHV, and about the insurance issues you're currently facing (with the past misinformation), as not doing so may mean he fails the 'fit and proper' test.

All taxi drivers are expected to be honest at all times, and if a genuine oversight by a licensed insurance broker, he will have nothing to worry about.

Sorry i got it now. It was not our taxi car that had the accident. It was another car which we drive regularly, a small car. For taxi he bought a new car. Incidentally, the accident happened just three days before he intended to start his taxi. So, in the new insurance, we did mention that he had an accident. Which obviously increased the premium. But we did not hide anything. Also mentioned the proper country and all accurate details.
