The point being - subjectively it was a £500-600 car, but to the right man its worth more.
Spot on.When I was young I would have loved a project like the OP's MX5. Indeed, at the age of 18 in 1964 I bought a 1937 MG TA for £80, rebuilt it (cars were much easier to work on in those days - it was like Meccano) and had a lot of fun in it. Insurance was £11.0s.0d a year (for a teenager!). I'm too old now, and would rather pay someone else to do the work. Perhaps kids don't have the time or the expertise these days, or just that cars are too complicated.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
Don't think you'll get response from OP - He seems to have sold the vehicle and got himself a new car.0

What has he got to replace it?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I sold the car at the weekend for £600, in case anyone was wondering. The fact it has a few custom modifications is what sold it to the buyer.
Thanks for the advice from everyone, especially motorguy.FutureGirl wrote: »Don't think you'll get response from OP - He seems to have sold the vehicle and got himself a new car. What has he got to replace it?0 -
And it is brand new so not going to go wrong.
Fingers crossed you are right
