    I've been Money Tipped!
There were some right old nut bags on here ten years ago.

CarolT was a particularly nasty piece of work, homelessskilledworker got banned for a racist outburst, or Mr Broderick who was PPR'd for sharing a lovely photo of his digareedoo

I remember CarolT and she was very bitter.
I recall getting into a few discussions with her.

I also recall her infamously declaring that my local area (of which she had no experience or understanding of) would be down 25% or more (IIRC) by 2012.

Prices went up and she disappeared when she realised her ramblings were not about to come true.

I think she would have stuck around if she could gloat, but the reality was far from her perception.

I used to work with a bloke from Dundee, who occasionally used to go on a rant about the time when "eh fun eh fleh in meh peh!" He used to engage in absolutely incomprehensible (to the rest of us) banter with a woman from Aberdeen (or "Furryboots City" - for the benefit of those not in the know, it relates to the question asked by an Aberdonian, curious about a stranger's place of birth "Furryboots ur yie frae?").

I'm going to stop now as I'm in danger of slipping into a typed version of Stanley Baxter's "Parliamo Glasgow".......

Am I the only one in being a little ........ concerned may be too strong ......... uneasy as to why the interest in where a particular poster is from?
When the poster has expressed a desire for that not to be known it appears more than a little strange TBH.
    Just saying.

    Your being too dramatic.
When they posted about being south of Aberdeen and the topic varied into accents.
It reminded me of my time in the area of which the expression is widely used.

Don't get too sensitive or look for issues that are not there.

I wonder if some of his trades were dependent on a remain vote. I wouldn't have thought someone living in Oz would care so much ?

Did he move / claim to move to Australia.
Hope he found peace there, certainly I don't believe the house prices are cheaper

How about instead of erroneously trying to psychoanalyse other posters you tell us why you did not post for almost two years until a few weeks ago - it seems you remembered your username & password OK after these two years, after all?
And maybe why you are posting again too?
Presumably you decided not to post 2 years ago and something has persuaded you to start again?

Just out of interest, the OP being about "what happened to this place" after all makes those relevant.

Yeah he did move, he quite liked it, well he said he did. I presume he had an interest in U.K. Property somehow though for spending so much time here.

It's shame he's gone, he raised the bar of discussion here by quite a bit and usually always played the ball and not the man, a rarity these days.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

Nice bloke, thoughtful, keen to learn things, broad-minded, and good-spirited .
    Hope he's enjoying life.
    He is rightly missed.

I would suggest you read the posts again.
All pretty harmonious in this thread, reflecting backwards, introducing to new posters until you decided to butt in trying to stir things.

I'd rather not get embroiled in a flaming spiral with you if that's alright.
If you want to post any salient points or posts, then we can stick to the topic instead of making it personnel.

Try to look at things positively instead of getting yourself wound up.

Incidentally I stopped posting a couple of years ago as it started to become boring, regurgitation, same debates time and again and I've already reflected how it's not changed that much since I've been away.

Some old people still about, some new and some with new usernames.

    Have a good night now.

Lol, for a second I thought you were talking about Brit1234 and that was not how I recalled him.
Then I re-read the posts and understand you were referring to Generali.

Yes I knew Generali, we had some good debates and discussions over the time. A truly great poster, very knowledgable and open minded to be persuaded at times by a good point.
