At least you didn't 'lose' your username of the past 10 years during a move, which is always a good thing. :)
You forget your password & realise then that your email for your account should have been changed at the same time you changed internet providers.;)
    Been there.
    Done that.
Easy done if you don't post often.

Good to see that you strictly adhere to forum guidelines - not.
    Please be nice
If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue.
It's surprising how many do not follow these simple guidelines.

This forum has been derailed by the two recent referenda.

The first one on Scotland's autonomy has degraded into an argument between those who would like to maintain a centralised control over Britain that manages its finances to provide tax breaks for those so rich that they barely need them, even though it means that basic services for those in need may be underfunded.

On the other side are those those who recognise that decision-making should be passed down to lower levels and that everybody's basic needs should be met, even though modern life makes that expensive, and that the rich may need to pay a bit more to help out those the system may place in a less fortunate financial situation.

The right-wing side isn't fascist and the left-wing side isn't communist. But what worries me is how many think only the left side needs to face criticism.
    Hey ho, so it goes.

As for the second, EU membership, referendum, just don't get me started.:(

Probably a function of the make up of the board who are older, wealthier and to the right of average I'd guess. Evidenced by the copious use of liberal being used as an insult.

As I think I stated (IIRC; could be wrong) when I began with this username, I somehow lost my old username during a move having been a user for a number of years (10 or so in fact).

Could your old username be in your vault where you keep meticulous records of the crimes of other forum members?

I know there's some pretty serious stuff in there. Evidence of unsubstantiated opinion, eating pot noodles and living in Luxembourg whilst having an opinion on how the UK should be run plus, of course, the main crime of deceit (aka disagreeing with you).

I've made a note in my own records of your poor admin and I'm not afraid to use them.

Another post more than amply displaying exactly "what has happened to this place".

Are you developing an unhealthy obsession?

You can remember what this place used to be like but can't remember the username you used to access it for more than 10 years. :)

Obsessed? No not at all but I've made a note in my AMSJ dossier that you're quite defensive about your previous username and have scheduled some time to investigate this matter further.

The username was no problem (I think; it has been a year longer-ago now) but the PASSWORD was the problem.
When you have no way of recovering that ...............
Shame that the same can't happen to a few other posters IMHO - not mentioning any users in particular. ;)

    Ah.
But that's not obsessive behaviour, then?
    No siree.

    Deary me.

One of the problems with this place is that people have lost (or never really had) a sense of humour. It reflects what's happening in wider society with people tightly sprung just waiting to be offended and outraged.
  • Deary me.

    As I posted much earlier in this thread;
The ignominious cabal mentioned before remains at least partially effective in dissuading new threads by their continued use of purely argumentative and/or derogatory posts which otherwise generally contribute absolutely nothing to the debate.

Derision in any form does not equate to humour.

Give the guy a break, were all getting a bit older and our memories are not what they used to be.

Who was it that had an avatar of a number that changed of the anniversary of when they bought despite being on here predicting crash after crash.

    Was it Crashy?
