So my contract has been over for more than 3 months and I'm still paying the full price for a line which I've already payed off the phone (my fault I know).
So I thought I might as well upgrade and logged in to see prices for a huawei p10 plus.

I get offered £60.99 and no upfront payment for 20gb a month
new customer £60.99 and no upfront payment for 25gb a month
New customer get better deal than me?

I called up and for loyalty and best offer I was given was £55.99 a month and £50 upfront for 20gb.

Comparing to other networks:
Vodafone £47 and £10 upfront for 24gb or £53 and £10 upfront for 30gb
Three £47 and £49 upfront for 30gb and unilimted gb for £57 and £49 upfront

I know ee has the best network coverage but is that much of a difference to pay that much extra?

What would you do?

Welcome to the world, new customers getting better deals has happened forever.

Ring them up and get your PAC and tell them you're leaving, the outbound retention team will ring you within a week and offer you something closer to the new customer deal, perhaps even slightly better depending on your customer value.

Not really I've upgraded many times before and have always been given a way better offer than what new customers get. Usually around £5 off monthly and have had up to £120 knocked off upfront price.
Thats why I'm suprised now that its like that. You'd think as being a loyal customer you'd get better offers and being one for such a long time kind of dissapointed.

I really don't mind switching networks though not really sure if there are any networks out there that perform close to what ee coverage is like.

    Thanks

Nothing to stop you getting a PAC and then joining EE as a new customer.

I've been a customer of all 4 versions of the network, uninterrupted since 1997 and worked for them for a few years.

Retentions after cancellation is requested have always given the best deal, you've been getting shortchanged if you've been accepting the first offer made when you phone in...

They already gave me my PAC code I don't think I will be getting a call back after that. I'm probably just going to buy the phone from ebay and get a sim only plan as I don't really want to move to another network.

    Thanks
