What about the WiFi adaptor?
Seems our birth days are in the same week. He must be a cool dude.
Now he'll be a cool dude with a super speedy PC
Monitor is supposed to be here in time and pc is dispatched - possibly be here on Thursday 27th April. I hope if I am not in that the delivery people will leave it - I've a hospital appointment on Thursday and a bloods appointment on Friday morning.
Which WiFi adapter do I need to get?
When is your birthday? Happy birthday!! :bdaycake::bdaycake: :beer:0 -
Was there not an option for it to be collected from a local shop? Collect plus or some such.
Birthday is actually a bit more than a week away.
If he has the latest routers from the likes of BT/Virgin, he may get benefit from the more expensive of the two within the links posted earlier. Otherwise the one for less than £3 should do the trick. I use one on my PC with no issue.0 -

Argos - Tuesday 2nd May.
I have just changed their broadband to PlusNet in the last 2 weeks.
Would I be as well ordering the more expensive one or will it work with PlusNet's router?0 -
It will work with any router.
2nd of May for the Collect option? Too slow 0 -

1 Computer is on and there is a power light on but it only makes a noise when you insert the disc.
2 VGA is plugged in.
Monitor works with old computer.0 -
Ok monitor's good and you've tried VGA...1 Computer is on and there is a power light on but it only makes a noise when you insert the disc.
I'm guessing by "insert the disc" you mean CD/DVD and so the CD/DVD tray works and so the computer is powered on. We need a picture of the back of the computer to see if it has another video connector. (DVI or HDMI) If its quite an old box, and the video is provided by the motherboard then VGA is probably correct.0 -
