Can Southern Water Refuse to Remove my Email & Phone number

I'm wanting Southern Water to leave me alone. I'm paying by direct debit each month so they aren't chasing me for money. I don't want to be contacted with surveys by phone text or email. They've recently messed up twice in two months & each time I contacted them to sort it out & each time I get spammed.

Can I legally demand they remove this, last time I phoned them they lied & said they hadn't got my current number & insisted that if I didn't give them an email address they wouldn't deal with me. Yet today they managed to send me a text asking how they did, on the phone number they claimed they hadn't got

Legitimate stuff bills etc can be sent by post.

The text you received could be form a 3rd party.
So your account may not show your mobile number, but the data from your original application ( I assume online) could and be processed by a marketing/survey company.

Are Southern Water legally allowed to refuse to remove my email & phone number from their system?
    thanks heaps

And you don't 'apply' to Southern water you don't get a choice of supplier.

You don't have to have mains water and drainage.;)

However I agree with your sentiments about the 'how did we do?' follow up questionaires!

To my knowledge these texts are automated. They text you after you call on whatever number you call from. It's not even normally linked to your account. Is it just some stupid "how did we do?" survey thing? Pretty irritating but I don't think you'll be able to turn it off. You'll only get them after you call though so the more you call to complain about it, the more messages you will get...
