I love your targets, I think I need to sort some of these out for myself. One is definitely going to be weight loss though.

How awful for you to check all those messages about the cat but good news it wasn't your cat. But sad news that it was someone else's cat. I lived by a main road in England and had four cats that were fine. Moved to the countryside in France and two of the cats got run over! Think they got used to there being no cars. It is so sad when an animal dies though.

Thank you. The target ideas were pretty much pinched from other threads, just with my own amounts.

I was relieved but also sad someone else had lost their pet, it's a strange feeling. I am so glad the older cat doesn't venture out and we only have 1 to worry about, she loves being outside.

Just been to check the mince, was sure it's today's date (it is).On picking up the pork steaks, the top one dated the 13th, i noticed the bottom one was dated the 7th! The day they were delivered and as it was an afternoon delivery we already had beef in the slow cooker so they wouldn't have got cooked anyway. I really must check better or find a time to go shopping and try to be more strict with what goes in the basket.

Evening. Today was pay day. DH has got over a £100 less than normal. His shifts were all swapped over Christmas and i think he must have lost a couple of shifts somewhere. It will stay in the holding account until the 1st.

We took the girls swimming today and they have both moved up! Called at @ldi on the way home and spent £27. More because the little ones wanted to try lots of new things. They've eaten a mango between the 3 of them tonight, i know they are expensive fruit but i was just pleased to see DD try something new. She has also picked up persimmon to try (not shown them by me, honest). Hoping we can venture to choosing veg to try eventually.

At work tomorrow and should be going to bed but sat watching The Crown series 2 as recommended by Reality a few pages back. DD1 is hooked too and we've been watching way too many episodes in 1 evening.

Good morning. Been a busy few days at work.
After work yesterday i got some flowers for MIL birthday £9 and bread and replacement pork steaks £4.
After complaining the other day and hearing nothing for days, we got an email this morning to say they had looked in to it and refunded the amount for the steaks. I still haven't done an order today though, ill do a list and pick it up after work tomorrow, i think we have enough for school lunches.
Today should be a NSD as DH in bed so not going anywhere.
The laptop is about to die and the girls sound like they are trying to kill each other (practising gymnastics and falling out) so i better go and get something done and i'll pop back later to catch up on diaries.

    Evening.
I've posted on the flylady thread, i will get this tip sorted and hopefully make a few pennies too.
They are coming out on Wednesday to see why the smart meter isn't connecting so need to do the kitchen first.

Haven't spent anything today. Need to do a shopping list for tomorrow and try to stick to it. Need to take £30 out for the girls gymnastics but that's it paid until march.

I may have to use the emergency fund before it's even built up (£449 in there at the minute). The dryer stopped working again earlier, i tried everything to get it back on. Went back in a few hours later to turn on the heating and pressed the power button on my way past. It came straight on but is now making a grinding sound. I don't trust it and wont leave it on if i'm not about.

Busy day tomorrow, i'm at work, kiddies have gymnastic's and then swimming. I need to fit shopping in somewhere, we may manage until Tuesday.

Your day today sounds like one of my days!

And boo to the tumble dryer going. I couldn't live without mine over the winter. But at least you have a bit in the emergency fund if you do need to buy a new one.

Thank you. Was definitely a busy day. Should have had a bit of free time in the morning but was spent helping DS1 on his new online ed thing.

Went to work, straight down to watch DD2 swimming, back to work to do some shopping and home to do tea. Finally got in bed and half 12 this morning.

Spending yesterday: DH fetched some bits and a DVD on his way home, need to get receipt but think it was about £13. £4 from food £9 from entertainment. Then did some shopping on way home, he has the receipt for that too but was £13.50 on school trousers and tights, tights fit both girls so need to fetch another pack. £11.70 on DH beer. The other £24? (£21.51, just checked pending amount) was food shop.

Just finished my lunch so better start some cleaning before i go to work. I was brave yesterday and asked about changing my shifts, she said 'leave it with me' I hope that's a good sign.

It's been a busy few days and yesterday when I was off work i was too exhausted to move. Just wanted to update my spending on here so I don't forget.
Tuesday was £8 on 3 pizzas ice cream and 2 loaves of bread. Wednesday was £18 and I can't even remember what on (was a lot of school lunch things in it). Thursday DH went for stuff for tea and spent about £40 (did include £9 nappies and £8 sack of spuds). Today I've managed to spend £36 on food for the weekend and £9 on 3 packs of pants for the little ones as they seem to get eaten by the washer. DD1 has also had £8 for college

So not having the big shop on Sunday has sent my spending spiralling! I need to write a list and try to get everything on it so I don't keep going back. Did save £2 today though, was just finishing work as my mum came in so asked for a lift home, saving bus fare (and freezing while waiting)

Nothing else paid to the debts yet this month.

It sounds as though that big shop might have helped cut the bills, but food is so expensive at the moment anyway. I was going to suggest an online shop though that would mean your MS sack of spuds would probably have to be collected separately. At least once you have gone through the initial palaver of an online shopping list you can use it as a basis for future big shops with a bit of tweaking - I do find it takes ages to do it, but it avoids the temptations of the actual shops and I can do it at midnight when no one else is going to add things to the trolley!

If the thought of an online shop appeals, perhaps you could put your shopping list in as you think if it, setting a distant date for delivery, then when you are ready to order just bring the date forward. That works for me, though I do have to make sure I don't forget it!
