Sometimes I feel like I post too much on my diary as well, but I feel like I have to tell someone something and it ends up on my diary!

Also I love my slow cooker but I tend to use when I am out as otherwise I am starving most of the day because of the smell.

Well done on doing a freezer audit, that's something I need to do desperately. Although it is good when you go through the freezer and you realise you don't need much.

Thank you mumoffour. Cant believe we had 4 open bags of sausages! 42 left altogether.

Today a CC payment has come out for £85. The balance transfer from last week has gone through and we are down to just 4 debts at the moment (may have to do a BT in Oct) All over payments will be going to the tesco CC as i cant find out when the 0% ends. I think it may be october the same as the MBNA.

I have caved today! The girls are booked into a trial gym class tonight at £1.50 each. It will be £10 a month each if they like it. Seeing the determination and stress on DD2 when she cant do something it will be worth it. She spends hours watching gymnastics videos on youtube and has taught herself so many things already but for her own safety, she needs proper help with some things (shes already smashed her head off the wood floor doing 'crab').

DH fetched 2 bottles of c@lpol as pharmacy wasn't open when he finished this morning so £6 out of the grocery budget on that.

I'm at work this afternoon so shouldn't be any more spending. Going to get DD into the doctors, it's definitely tonsillitis/strep throat. Not sure if she will have to pay for prescription though? She's 16 now but still in full time education.

  • Well, i did think about not posting the rest of yesterdays spending, but thought that defeats the object of the diary to keep me on track!

So i spent £36 on gymnastic's clothes for the girls and some throat stuff for DD1. Then £20 on their enrolment fees. All came out of the children/entertainment account. They absolutely loved it though and i've not seen them that giddy when i got home for a long time (i was at work and missed it all).

When i got to work they came to find me to say that a game DD1 had been going in for, daily, was back in stock. There was only 1 if she wanted it. With her being poorly, i fetched it, must remember she owes me £22.

I seem in a right ratty tired mood, shouted at DH for having 2 fish fillets on his dinner and the a mountain of sweet potato wedges and a whole tin of mushy peas(i could just see that that could have been 2 meals).

I'm at work in a couple of hours so today should be a NSD. £66 DD has come out for the CC so need to update that. I might try to do some baking with DS before i go.

but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • Thank you Chrystal. (I bet DH hopes so too, that's not the only time I've snapped at him in the last 2 days).

Baked some muffins with DS. Taking them out of the oven they were burning through the towel don't know what on earth possessed me to grab it with the other hand to stop it burning! I now have 6 bright red fingers!

At least pudding is now sorted.

  • Just a quick post. DH has taken DS2 to look at the allotments and I'm supposed to be trying to sleep for an hour before work.

DD2 has been to doctors this morning, it is tonsillitis. She's had to go into college this afternoon looking like really ill as she has controlled assessments.

Call to fetch her prescription and spent £10.80 on meds. About £15 on shopping, 2 birthday cards, bread and fruit and lunch box bits (need to find reciept) and £2.25 on 2 tins of chocs that we really didn't need.

    Thank you Wannabe.

DH has thrown the receipt from yesterday so going to update the grocery at £16, i don't think that's far off. DD1 has had £3 today for lunch and i've paid DD2 school trip in full. So there goes my next NSD.

I've changed my shift tomorrow and working 6-12 so will need bus fare if DD is at placement. Not sure if she can go yet or if she still counts as 'infectious' as she works with babies. If not, i can use her bus card.

Not really much else to update, banks haven't changed. No debt payments made today.

Had a scare last night. Went on my break to lots of messages and posts i had been tagged in on f@cebook. A cat had been knocked down and killed a few doors up from ours. She was identical to our little girl! DH had a knock at the door and messages from family, he went with a torch and fetched her in, once in the light he realised she was a lot bigger and then DD1 shouted our cat was laid on DD bed.
He had quickly sent me a message to say it wasn't her before i saw all the posts i had been tagged in.
She was scanned and no chip found so this morning she has gone to the vets in the hope her owners find her.

Right i really should sort some of this tip... Need to find where my energy is hiding first!

  • I love your targets, I think I need to sort some of these out for myself. One is definitely going to be weight loss though.

How awful for you to check all those messages about the cat but good news it wasn't your cat. But sad news that it was someone else's cat. I lived by a main road in England and had four cats that were fine. Moved to the countryside in France and two of the cats got run over! Think they got used to there being no cars. It is so sad when an animal dies though.
