G24, DRP, Gladstones Solicitors - PCN

Gladstones do pursue people on behalf of PPCs, some of whom have only recently become litigious. We can only advise based on past and current track record, and in regard to G24, they have never involved themselves in the court process. But we are in no position to forecast the future, nor give any guarantees that they will always remain non-litigious.
We (mainly the court experts of which I am not one) have dealt with many Gladstone cases here and we have defeated them in 99% of cases.
You really do have to stop overthinking this. You are where you are. I don't know how much DRP are currently demanding from you, but if it's more than £200, then even if you lost at court it wouldn't be any more than that, probably less. So why even think about paying now? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Yes. But G24 don't, so Debt Recovery plus and/or ZZPS have started to use solicitor headed notepaper (with permission of course) to scare people. It's still the debt collector.chloelouise97 wrote: »However, I have seen with other private parking companies that Gladstones send out one letter, recipient ignores and they then send out more letters and court action starts... is this because the companies 'Gladstones' are working on behalf of do have history taking to court?
A CCJ is not going to happen - not unless you are their very first. Make sure your Mum KNOWS this is true. At the end of the day it's only G24 and a debt collector, nothing to worry about at all.

My received a parking fine from g24 11months ago. For going over the 2 hour limit by 14minutes. She was advised to just ignore them. She has now received a letter from Gladstones. Wanting £150. It was originally £50. All the letters have never been recorded or have we acknowledged we have received. Can you advise please. What's the best course of action to take. Please.0

Hi can anyone please give me some advice.
My wife received a parking fine from G24 11months for £50. She'd gone to BnM and overstayed in the 2 hour limit car park by 14minutes. I told her to just pay this. But she insisted that it would be fine to ignore and the worse thing you can do is acknowledge the letter. This was advised my one of her work collegues. So she has. Received a few letters. Fine going up and the. Offers at a reduce rate etc.
Now we have received a letter from a solicitor (Gladsones ) and I'm fuming with her and panicking. They want £150 now. Can anyone please advise how we can get out of this mess. I am happy to pay the original £50 like I wanted to but not £150. No letters were sent recorded so can I act dumb and say this is the first I have heard of the matter and we probably haven't received any letters as it's a brand new house and address etc. Please please please some one with knowledge help. Thank you0 -

See my signature below this reply. Read the NEWBIES thread, tells you what to do at each stage, which might still be nothing, if the G's letter asks for payment to a debt collector.

Flozzy13 ... I have paragraphed your post otherwise nobody
will read it !
Please don't blame your wife, she did not understand and nor do you, hence you are here
There is a grace period of entering and leaving a car park,
At 14 mins, you are within any grace period
G24 should know better and they are just scamming you
GLADSTONES, known as the one the most incompetent solicitors
in the universe.
Is this really a letter from gladstones or a letter telling you pay a debt collector such as DRP ???
Gladstones are so incompetent that they would fail a breath test
without having a drink
If this a pimped letterhead using Gladstones please tell us0 -
@Flozzy13. Do you really think that from in excess of a quarter of a million tickets issued in the past 2.5 years by G24, you will be the first person, ever, they take to court from the entire United Kingdom?
