I have learned never to take things at face value - and I am highly suspicious when they don't tell you up front what "documents" they require etc. If you read the relevant thread you will discover that 1) they aren't sending the claim forms out within 28 days 2) no-one seems to have even seen one 3) Phones4u have a terrible reputation 4) you don't EVEN know if you can send copy bills 5) since they don't send the next claim form until they send you the cheque you may not get as long as you think to claim 6) which bill do you actually send? 7) is it JUST one bill each time or more? I could go on and on - far too many jump in with rose-tinted glasses on. As I said, I'm extremely wary of them and on that basis am assuming that I will need to sue. I am having to consciously break a few of my own rules in so doing (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=558661) but there aren't any completely safe places now. They are all crooks intent on ensuring the vast majority of customers do NOT get their cashbacks - you have been warned!

Actually I went with Mobiles2Yourdoor (same company) partly because I want to see how it works and can't so that for about another year unless I commit. I also ONLY go for totally free deals for myself, especially since I already have 7 current contracts and really don't need the bundle or phone. Of course, there are quite a lot of people who will be experiencing all the problems about two months ahead of me - always helps. I wouldn't take any of my friends or family here until I'm at least 8 months down the road myself. I'd take them elsewhere - but again I would definitely advise them not to go there themselves (and they wouldn't!).

They didn't have any phone I was particularly interested in - so I went for the best at the time (Samsung U600). No complaints really so far given my many reservations - although connection took about 3 days and I've already had conflicting information about copy or original bills. Again, I would advise anyone NOT to go for ANY cashback deal at present unless they cover every single basic point throughout and go in expecting huge problems. Starting with printing off the t&c at the time you order and looking for the tricks and catches. They aren't that hard to find usually, although there are also (usually) nasty surprises along the way.

My contract is up with e2save (Orange) at the end of this month, and I have been looking for a 6300. My cashback whent very well with e2, in fact to smooth for an optimist like me !!

I have contacted my local store who are doing the deal 'in store' as well. I intend to go for this deal 'in store' with the following provisions:

    1. Download all T&C's from the phones4u website.

    2. At the point of sale get the shop to put in writing (on the contract) exactly what bills to send in, this will include me asking, in a rather 'thick' manner, to write down an example of what months will be required compared to when my first bill arrives.

    3. Getting the customer services people to e mail me the same. (There is a sneaky way that I got e2 to do this and then this e mail was then sent off with my e2 cashback claims)

Above all treat this deal as a battle that I WILL WIN and be prepared to use the Moneyclaim on line service to get your money if/when required, I was ready for any trick that may be pulled by e2 and will be of the same mind with phones4u.

i'm not concerned about the t's and c's for the time being.

I know hat I'm doing, but just need a site that lists them all. I used a site last year but can't remember what it was.....?

It appears that the O2 600 contract (through mobile outlet) is the cheapest around for cashback similar to what I require:

600mins, 500texts (which is 100 more texts than my present deal)

this is from looking on this site:

    http://www.freelinerentalmobiles.co.uk/12-months-free-line-rental

a choice of phones, but rather than go through that site I'd go through quidco or the like and bag some extra cashback...

    what do you think??

I've used mobile outlet before and they are fine...

Right I've found the best deal for me.

    It's still on O2, but it's the O2 800 package, 800mins and 500texts.

I'm not concerned about the choice of phone, more interested in the tariff. I have a choice of the Nokia 2310 or the Nokia 6111 (pink). would probably go for the Nokia 6111 as it seems to fetch a bit more on eBay

I just need to decide whether to go through e2save or onestopphoneshop. Both pay 36.50 and 37.50 respectively if I go via quidco.

I'm favoring the idea of e2save just because it's run by CPW

    Opinions????

They are BOTH the SAME company and BOTH part of cpw. You have been warned! With your lack of attention to detail THAT warning is even more pertinent. Quidco do NOT pay £37.50 for this deal through Onestopphoneshop. That's likely to be the least of your worries though!

    okay onestop pay 33.50

it's not my lack of attention to detail, I'm just trying to throw some ideas about.

Obviously I will read the full T's and C's before completion.

But I'm yet to receive any help showing me where I should be looking etc.

I've done well with MobileOutlet so I know what I'm doing. Recorded delivery etc. pre addressed envelopes laid out in a file, dates marked on my calendar etc. etc.

    What would you suggest then??

Also can you take your number with you onto 02???
