Need Some Help in Choosing a Tariff / Cashback deal???
Hi there,
It's that time of year again and I need to either renew my current contract or set up a new one. So I'm after a bit of advice.
I am currently on 3 with the tariff of Video, Talk and Text 1100 which includes 600 mins and 400 texts.
I got this through the MobileOutlet this time last year. I managed to get 30pound cashback by going through quidco. Also the first three months were half price and I was also on a cashback deal whereby I basically haven't paid a penny for the last year other than going outside the inclusive texts and minutes occasionally.
So I'm looking for something similar, but can't remember what site I used to compare all the cashback deals etc.
I would liek a similar tariff with a cashback deal.
cheers

My best advice is not to go for ANY cashback deal now unless you really know what you're doing.0

I would fully agree with that, but where do you get pay monthly deals that don't just do cashback deals, it seems the market is really tightening up and cashback deals which are flawed IMO are the only deals around"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -

Hi Gareth,
Been looking myself.
In the past have had 5 phones through mobileshop but have found that I've had to get more aggresive each time to get the cashback - court threat last time. However they have always paid up even if the payments are getting later and later. They have deals at the present but I'm not too sure I will go with them again.
I've got one deal with CPW. They are very good, paying promptly by cheque. BUT I can't find any good deals at the mo.
I've just come across this lot at phones4U - http://www.phones4u.co.uk/special-offers/Various2.asp?ppc=true
The 6300 on Orange free for 11 months looks ok - not a pricematch or a clearence.
I'd appreciate comments on this deal - I'm aware that theres alot of dodgy T&Cs about at the moment, however, I've read these and they seem ok. Am I missing something?
Cheers

Missing quite a lot I'd say! do you KNOW exactly WHAT to send and when? Have you read the threads on them? I've just taken the plunge but am anticipating cashback by legal force. Of course, I may be pleasantly surprised!0

The 6300 is a clearance phone.
Still a good deal, but as mobilejunkie says, you need to know what you are doing.Gone ... or have I?0 -

HI mobilejunkie,
Have you take the plunge with phones4U? If so which phone did you go for?
I've read the T&Cs and they seem to be fairly straight forward compared to other companies.
I'm not too keen on the "Proof of posting will not be accepted by Phones 4u as proof of delivery" but an happy to see that they allow 60 days to make a claim - "The claim form must be received by us at the address specified for us in the claim form no later than 60 days after the valid claim date as specified in the claim form"
On the downside I note that they state that the claim forms will be sent a month after connection - what are the chances of not receiving them or not getting them replaced - a case of suck it and see - and whether there are any additional terms and conditions attached.
Cheers
