Good deals on veg oil?

Whether it's more sustainable is a debatable point as it takes land out of use for food production, if you use new veg oil. Using recycled oil is a different matter, of course, but still not entirely without issues due to the recycling procedure itself.
Everything is arguable of course but the idea of taking land out of food production for fuel isn't necessarily critical, depends on the course of world population, area under agricultural etc
It's certainly more sustainable than fossil fuels as it is resource that can be renewed, and growing the new fuel source would then absorb much of the carbon produced by its use as a fuel.0 -
Brings back memories of my old Disco (93/Bosch pump). People used to be amazed when you poured it into the tank in the Supermarket carpark ! It ran sweet as a nut and smelt lovely. Never any problems even in winter. Bookers did 15lts cheap as I remember....0

I'd be vary wary about running on a PD engine. Other VW engines like the SDI are absolutely bullet proof for veg oil, I can speak from experience.0
