Santander Regular Saver

So I qualify!
Probably wait until after 6th April 2017.
I think I am projected to go over the £1,000 Savings Allowance for 2017/18, already.
If I stray into higher rate tax band, it's 40% tax on interest.
And it's only £500 allowance.
Why do I bother.0 -
Well, over 4 hours after I sent a secure message and 30 minutes after a phone call in which I got told the interest should be paid by close of business, nothing yet. Looks like another call tomorrow is on the cards.0

Cool, think I'll open a Santander Lite to get it in that case.
If I switch some bills over, that should cover the fee.0 -

back to 5%. Excellent. Glad I waited a few days.
right now how do I close this old one.. its on here somewhere...0 -
My Regular Saver matured last week (Issue 1, 5%). Santander sent me a cheque which was delivered the next day. I closed the account the same day it converted to the standard savings account however, so I didn't wait long enough for them to apply interest to the account.0

Really, what's the rush?
It did show up as you say.
The rush is simply that we wanted the interest paid this tax year, and anyway if they can sort one thing on anniversary of opening day why not the other - interest is supposed to be paid annually, not annually +1 day.0
