sky vs freeview

We cancelled our sky way back when in nov 06 and went with freeview.
Trouble is our aerial isn't great so at certain times of the day and in bad weather the tv is unwatchable.
We noticed that Sky are giving new customers £110 through quidco.. and we're seriously considering it.. especially now as you can get 4 mixes of channels for £19 a month which is a bargain compared to when we had it before. They're also offering £10 credit and half price installation at the moment..
Is it worth it?

You could always consider getting a new aerial. Look in Wilkinson's they have the high gain type for freeview for about £20, which is about 1 months subscription.
Could also consider a signal booster too......0 -
My sky doesn't work if the weather is bad so I would stick to freeview.DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0

Though I'm not on freeview, recieve tv, internet and phone for £25/month from tiscali. Switching to sky will be more or less the same cost, tempted to pocket £110 they are offering! same idea as u!
If i were u i would go for it, benefits being you get extra channels, no more weather problems and 110 cash. on downside you'll be spending £150/year for their service(first year) and more the next year. If you can afford without compramising your repayment targets it is a good idea!LBM(23/07/07):17603.84 Balance Now(30/09/07): 16763.57

You can also bring down your phone and BB costs once your out of contract with your current provider to £26 pcm total (still need to pay BT £11) AND - if you let me refer you before the 30th we can BOTH get £50 M&S vouchers.

IA, why did you get rid of your sky dish and box. We don't get freeview where I live, but I do get all the free to view channels form sky. We don't even have a tv aerial, just the sky dish. having said that you do get more channels free with freeview, than you get on sky.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
