OP you need a Fully detached house.
    I'm afraid that guarantees nothing.

Judging by their reactions to people on here I'm kind of wondering if the OP had an episode and was actually talking about themselves or voices maybe in the head.....

More likely the usual not liking the ridiculousness of their position being pointed out to them

OP you need a Fully detached house, if you can't afford one don't complain

With several acres around it, and a high fence on the border!

We all have to live with people to a certain extent, and some of them are like us, while others are different. And there are many many issues which are often thought to only happen in 'bad' 'areas, but actually happen in 'good' ones all the time. Two examples - Mental health issues don't discriminate, and domestic violence can happen anywhere.

OP - life isn't perfect, and never will be.

It could've been the neighbour's errant son popped in for a rant at his folks. Or a visitor - you can't pick your kids' mates. Quite possibly a one off. No need to pack suitcases just yet!

    Suggest the OP also avoids:
    • Anywhere near a police station or court house
    • "urban" music, especially the "grime" and "gangsta rap" sub-genres
    • Football matches
    • gatherings of (primarily) young, working class men, and areas, events, buildings etc in which these are likely to occur
    • Weatherspoons public houses
    • Large towns and cities
    • Poundshops
    • people in general, especially poor ones

nb - this list isn't exhaustive, but gives some indication of likely scenarios, all of which should be carefully considered before further property purchases, the search for which should be confined to remote, and previously uninhabited islands. Without seagulls - their chip stealing criminal tendancies are well documented, and those beaks are as sharp as knives...

It's especially surprising as I chose an area that is supposes to not have people like that.

Didn't realise there was "no knife-wielding maniac nephew of the neighbors" filter on Rightmove.
